Lab Rats 2 v0.14.1 Public Release!
Added 2019-03-08 08:19:39 +0000 UTCv0.14.1 is a major update that introduces a main statistic for girls: love. Love is a measure of a girls individual devotion and relationship with you, as opposed to their general sluttiness or obedience. The higher the love value the more willing a girl is to have a friendly chat, go out on a date, or have sex with you in private. New events and conversation options have been added to give ways to raise a girls love and old events have been modified to make the stat relevant.

UI improvements continue with new tooltips being added for most actions when their button is hovered. Performance has been improved by removing a highly inefficient drawing method. Girls now have unique, individual houses. These locations are unreachable by default, but can be unlocked by taking the girl on a date and being invited back to her place. Several new events taking place at home have been added. Four new panty sets, two new bras, and a collection of new outfits that make use of them round out the new content in this update.

*CHANGES AND ADDITIONS*
- Added "love" stat for girls. Characters wtih high love will have higher sluttiness when you are in private and be more devoted to you. Characters with low love will have a penalty to sluttiness all the time.
- Family members do not recieve the positive sluttiness modifers from Love.
- Added support for sub maps on the main map screen.
- Added distinct homes for each character.
- Added ability for MC to discover where characters live and visit them.
- Added character home sub map, to let you visit characters who's home you know about.
- Updated "out of uniform" crisis. Characters who love "not wearing anything" now gain love and have no happiness drop when they are told to strip and work naked.
- Updated all existing role events, crises, and actions to affect love when apporpriate.
- Added support for menu tooltips.
- Created "Employee" role, which is given to all employees when they are hired.
- Moved all existing employee based interactions into the "special action" menu.'
- Refactored "Action" class. Added tooltip support and much more comprehensive control over how buttons are displayed.
- Crises involving Mom and Lily now take Love into account when deciding how comfortable they are with you.
- Added 4 new panty clothing items and 2 new bra clothing items.
- Added new random event for Lily.
- Added new outfits using new clothing items.
- Added new "performance review" action for employees. Can be performed once a week.
- Rewrote sections of night time visit crisis to work better with new living arangements.
- Removed mandatory "Talk with" action that was associated with the new serum crisis to avoid double time skips.
- Characters are now more likely to ask for permission when stripping if they are highly obedient.
- Added new nightime crisis involving mom at moderate sluttiness and love.
- Clicking on a text input field in the character creation window now auto clears the default text.
*BUG FIXES*
- Characters who are fired will now stop showing up for work.
- Characters no longer recieve a happiness boost when you insult their work.
- Added clock symbol to menu options that will advance time.
- Expanded small talk option. Knowing a girls opinion on a topic will result in a larger love increase.
- Refactored "Chat with her..." menu screen to make future content additions easier.
- Removed limitations on how often you can chat with a girl.
- Added time advancement to most events where you chat with a girl.

2019-03-11 04:34:00 +0000 UTCYeah, the render for that ended up being slightly narrower and higher than other faces, so you're seeing the bottom of the default body neck behind them. That'll take some time to fix up on my rendering side and then actually rerender all of that face type, but it's a problem that is 100% fixable.

The more advanced you get a girl, the more your control her attire, the more likely she is to wear stupid generic crap. And after that, even crash the game once you implement a uniform policy. Maybe I'm just crazy, but it seems to me that the features you've already added should work without crashing the game before you go adding new shit. What good is a dozen new outfit options if you're going to lose your whole saved game progress when you try to put them on the chicks? As it stands right now, adding a uniform policy is almost a guarantee that you'll crash your game. That's fucked. Take it out or fix it. S>=40 means no panties, means you have to discard all their underwear sets and give them new ones. Which means the code to set uniforms freaks out... A LOT. Vren, I respect you a lot, and this is, despite the bugs, one of the best games of its type I've ever played, but you gotta fix your bugs, bro. Get your priorities straight. Visually, you've got a real double-chin problem going on, too. I think that came up in 13 when you worked the art. Nobody wants that.

Also, it seams you can ask a girl on a date more than once during a week, resulting in multiple dates on Friday, and the girl retains her arousal and (lack of) clothing on the subsequent date (Naked dinner in public restaurants, Jaaay!! ) And as noted above, the love bonus to sluttiness is totally broken at the moment. Perhaps Love and other temporary buffs/debuffs (choice of location, seduction method, family etc) should be separated from core sluttiness and thus not affecting corruption or fucking up the corruption goal.

Whenever I have sex with them their stat would go from like 1 golden heart to a full 5, and after sex the buff disappears. And it seems to get higher and higher each time. As of now my head researcher's slutiness goes from 15 to 155 every single time and it's impossible to increase her core slutiness.

You can fix it by adding new_person.special_role.append(employee_role) in every "add_employee" method in script.rpy (def add_employee_research, def add_employee_production and so on).

"conservative outfits" also appears, which suggests that there's a bug resulting in it appearing twice. - During trial of level 3 (2nd increase) serum, my head researcher said: "I'm Stephanie, head research at ." Bad var? The "Goal Info"/character sheet screen also has the same problem (blank where company name should be) - People wearing blue outfits going on about how they hate the color blue. Maybe their color and outfit preferences should impact their wardrobe choices? - People buzz the intercom and quit on the weekends. it'd be nice if their discontent did not change on the weekends, as you are forced to search the map for that person in order to raise their happiness if you want to avoid this. - I drew a goal of selling some stuff, which required me to move my (one) marketing girl to another department for a while so there would be something left for me to sell. After I was ready to move her back, I found that the "Special Role Actions" not longer existed for her. This is a pretty big problem for a shop small enough to only have on person in a position (e.g. HR or Marketing). If this is a deliberate Feature, perhaps the change-departments dialogue ought to warn the player that they can't easily move the person back. - If I complete a new serum design while working solo on the weekend, the Head Researcher mysteriously appears anyway to handle the testing. - In the "Manage Employee Uniforms" and "Outfit Designer" screens, it would be helpful if it told me what the sluttiness parameters were. Currently I have to back out (which is hard, cuz no back button) and then pretend I want to buy a business policy to get to a screen where I can find out what my uniforms need to cover. - What's with the MC's severe premature ejaculation problem? If a girl shows a bit of hesitation in taking off her clothes chances are he's going to shoot in his pants. Aside from being a buzzkill for the player (I mean, ewww), it's not very realistic. Suggestion: When arousal is over 50% (for either party), increase in arousal is reduced by 75% for "kissing" or for being on the performing side of oral sex. - Another thing that would help a lot is if you gave a "change position" button from the "strip her down" menu; as it is, you have to go another round of kissing before you can take advantage of any newly-revealed orifices, even if the girl is bored with the position or MC is near his limit. - It's counterintuitive that sex takes zero time but paying a compliment takes several hours. I'd expect a seduction to burn the whole turn but a compliment/flirt/chat to take negligible time... - Numerous instances of text overflowing the main box. I took some screencaps, if you want them let me know and I'll send them to you (or post on imageurl or whatever). - It's very puzzling when a girl is mid-coitus and already had two orgasms but still refuses to ditch her bra because she needs to be "warmed up". Maybe once they've actually had penetration start, they should be less picky about this?

I almost went out of business before I figured out that I have to go to Main Office -> Mark Serums in order to see that I have some in the sales stockpile. Two suggestions that would make this much nicer: 1) A way for the player to feel like something happened when you work the prioduction line, such as a status bar in the production room that shows how far along each of the various lines is. ("Line 1 (Serum X): 50%"), along with the number produced thus far today. If you've ever worked in an assembly line job you see a lot of that sort of thing. 2) "Check Inventory" should show a table with all the different places a serum might be found -- peronal stash, production stockpile, sales stockpile. I should be able to click on it and immediately see all my serum assets. Edit: I see now, I should "check stock", not "inventory". Maybe rename the button "Personal Inventory" so others don't get confused the way I did? (Or better yet, make it one merged inventory screen where you can see everything and transfer stuff around?)

I am glad to see Jennifer and Lily in the game, but disappointed that you picked your two least attractive models (IMO) for them. Jennifer in particular is terrifying; her figure is great but from the neck up she looks like a drag queen. The Honey Select versions of them were much more attractive.

2019-03-08 15:05:12 +0000 UTCSomething seems odd with sluttiness gains while under serum influence. Steps to reproduce: 1. Give Lily serum with Level 1 Suggest. Sluttiness is 11 2. Flirt. Sluttiness is now 3 higher than before (14) 3. Timetick. Lily is now in a different location, serum effect is 1 round shorter, sluttiness is 11 again. Either I missed a change in how flirting and sluttiness work, or the values are not stored in the character properly.
