Colour is in The Eye of the Beholder

I've spent the last couple of evening writing new content for Lab Rats 2, most of it focused around the new inter-character relationship system. One particular event finally prompted me to implement a new feature I had been putting off for a while: eye colour. In this new random event one of your employees asks for you to take a look at the resumé of her daughter and (depending on her stats) tries to "convince" you to hire her. Obviously if we are introducing with someone's daughter there should be some family resemblance, so I added a method to take an existing character and generate a "daughter" character who has a % chance to share certain features with her mother.

Daughters often (60% of the time, independently for each value) inherit height, breast size, hair colour, body type, and eye colour from their mother. They also always have the skin tone of their mother. While working on that I was reminded that eye colour currently exists only as a string stored for each character; the render for all faces has light brown eyes. I realised that colouring the iris of a character is essentially the same task as colouring a pattern for a piece of clothing. After some updates to my rendering software to automatically produce the correct mask images and re-rendering all of the faces with grey irises each character now has properly coloured eyes! More than that, each character's eye colour is given a minor bit of variance, so two people with blue eyes will appear slightly different.

It's not a huge change, but it's another way to provide as much differentiation between characters as possible.

I would say you could have mothers be younger. The youngest grandmother is only 22 or something, but I would say 15 or 16 for the mother giving birth. The youngest mother should be 33 I'd think.

Likewise "Brendan" to "Brenda."

A question. Is there any more serum components after lesser mind control and permanent bimboficitation? If yes how to unlock, because Steph has no mor option to advance research and Nora give the quest to test again, but i cant reresearch her serum and i already scraped its production scheme.

Please be careful and do not overpopulate the game with a bunch of clones. 2. Do not forget to create a restriction related to mothers age. The event should be available only to women 37+ years old. 3. Waiting for the hot M/D threesome in Lab Rats 2 :)

Also, I beg of you, please update the spelling of "Jose" to "Josie" or "Jo" or "Josey" or "Josefina" or something. People named "Jose" are generally always going to be Hispanic or Portuguese men. I think this has been an issue since the first releases of the game :(

"It's not a huge change, but it's another way to provide as much differentiation between characters as possible. " All due respect but adding more than 6 possible faces might help a bit with that :D Also, it seems odd that they'd always have the same skin tone. People have children with people of different skin color all the time. Based on my saved game alone, we're going to have a lot of brown babies in my branch of this fucked up world you've built for us to play in. Can it just be a statistic instead? 70% of the time it's the same skin color, or something, and the other times it's most likely to be within a few shades and almost never going from one end of the pigmentation spectrum to the other.

The serums (mostly) only last for a certain number of time units (there are 3 during sleep). By default is 3 turns, sometimes more or less depending on traits.

Maybe a stupid question, but I'm stuck and I don't know where else to ask: How do I make the serum effects permanent? For example, I give Steph a serum which bumps up sluttiness a bunch, spend the rest of the day flirting and seducing her, but the next day everything is reset - and I've done this several times. What am I missing?

I second that. Everything you wrote ;)

Ok. Another easily fixable glitch. When you upgrading serum it only reduces side effect chance. So once that reaches 0% it should get removed from component list, like "Mastery reached". With unlocking different tiers that screen becomes a mess with so many components appearing. Therefore I also recommend some color coding by tier or effect type instead of the all blue to help navigate.
