Streamlining Menus and Screens
Added 2018-04-20 08:56:00 +0000 UTCFirst, an update on the current rendering progress of v0.4: 47% of all images have been rendered. I have also tweaked my render settings, so there should be an increase in the rendering speed of the remaining images.
I've spent the last few nights working on streamlining a number of menus and screens in Lab Rats 2. The most apparent change will be the addition of greyed out options for common actions that cannot be taken right now (either because nobody is around, there isn't enough time, ect.). This helps keep all of the common options in the same spot. Along with that a number of repeated "You are in [blank], you can do [blank] and [blank]" messages have been removed where that information was already obvious, again reducing the number of total clicks needed to get something done.
Next, I have added a Serum Review screen that can be accessed from your R&D division. This will let you look over all of your serum designs, both researched and unresearched, and view their stats. You can then scrap designs that are obsolete or that you don't plan on using to clean up the other serum selection menus. This is going to be the start of a general effort by me to create some better looking screens, which I hope to work on for the next couple of days.
