Clothing Display Improvements
Added 2018-09-12 07:01:57 +0000 UTCTonight I was able to leverage the improvements I made to the clothing display code a few nights ago and fix some long standing visual bugs/strangeness!
Clothing images are all made in Daz 3D, rendering each piece of clothing in greyscale to allow for recolouring later. Previously this image was taken, given a very simple recolour, and drawn to the screen. If the render did not turn out well my only choice was to either change settings and rerender (a 24+ hour task) or live with the imperfections.
I now have the ability to directly tweak the greyscale clothing opacity, brightness, and contrast. This let me go through and tweak all of the existing clothing items to make sure they are the same shade of grey as each other. I have also been able to make sure clothing is only transparent when it is suppose to be (the dress shirt, for example, is no longer transparent!). Hair is now also looking much better after these changes.
I'm now working on adding a collection of serum traits, after which business policies will get a look. I'm hoping to have v0.9.0 ready for release ready some time in the next week, I'll have a solid date set in a few days!

Hooray for more hairs! Also good so see that locations are getting their due time in the dev spotlight. I've been looking at that speculative avenue a lot coming from a storywrighter's point of view (I have a text wall on the subject of locations in VNs and TT RPGS being event platforms as opposed to the navigation way-points or set-pieces of open-worlders such as Bethesda's titles. But I'll dump that on a later post ;) ). Honestly I'm trilled to see what direction you take. I'm foreseeing many new crises/opportunities for our MC's to engage in over evenings and weekends.

2018-09-14 16:37:38 +0000 UTCOK, I found that if I raise either her sluttiness or obedience (I'm not sure which one triggered it) the option to continue shows up.

2018-09-14 12:53:28 +0000 UTCI just updated to v0.81, and I've hit a block of sorts. The prototype serum you have to pay $2000 to get as part of the head researcher chain, the one that drops the recipient's intelligence and makes them ditzy and blissed; I went through that and then wanted to see what happens if you leave Stephanie like that. I shifted her to marketing and put a new girl in as head researcher, but now I can't progress any further with unlocking research tiers, the "role actions" menu only has the remove them from position action. I did keep a save at the earlier choice, so I went back and gave Stephanie the antidote, and the next choice is there, grayed out as I would need to raise sluttiness to access it, but it is there. Is there a way to get past this, is it a bug?

2018-09-14 12:28:15 +0000 UTCI'm planning on introducing ways to have girls change their hair style, that will come when I expand on the different locations in the game so that they have a purpose.

2018-09-14 05:23:34 +0000 UTCAh, but now I have the ability to make clothing transparent on purpose! Tonight I'm experimenting with the clothing designer UI to let the player modify colour directly rather than select from a preset pallet, and this might include some control over alpha values.

2018-09-14 05:23:01 +0000 UTCTwo new hair styles are coming with this update, and I'm looking into some new facial styles. I'm also going to look at adding a few more hair colours now that I've got solid renpy side support for it.

2018-09-14 05:21:55 +0000 UTCAlong that same thought, we can "convince" or insist that women wear certain clothing. In real life, I've had first hand experience with women being convinced to wear their hair a certain way, color their hair, use certain make up techniques, etc.. Once they reach the "docile" level, maybe we should be able to do that?
2018-09-13 12:55:27 +0000 UTC"the dress shirt, for example, is no longer transparent!" Not sure I'd count this one as an improvement... :p
