v0.11 Makeup Example

I'm wrapping up work on v0.11, which includes the first batch of makeup to make it into the game. Here's an example of Stephanie dressed up for some formal office work, sporting red lipstick and some subtle eyeshadow. I'm going to spend some time tweaking the default opacity as well as incorporating the makeup into a number of the existing outfits.

Another feature I've worked on tonight has been character greetings when you enter a room. When you enter a room one of the characters who works for you will greet you. It helps liven up the daily work cycle of moving around and performing tasks, and gives you a chance to check out your employee uniforms.

v0.11 should be ready for release in a few days, either the 26th or 27th. I'll have a firm release date tomorrow night!

That is the ugliest tranny I have ever seen. No amount of make-up can save him. Especially not bad make up. And this bodes I'll for LR2. None of the random generated characters, are any where near as hot as the five in LR1. And THAT is supposed to be Stephanie? Studio Dystopaia is doing a better Lab Rats II with "The Takeover" IMHO.

Blackhalo

Yeah the general opacity seems to be the issue, I'm going to be experimenting to see what ends up looking natural when overlaid. If I can't get it looking good I'll be scrapping makeup from this update and putting some more work into it to get it looking natural

Vren

And this, ladies, is why you should never let a man do your make-up... Seriously, Vren, this has plenty of potential, but your Y chromosomes are showing...

Bingbong

That lipstick is freakin' terrifying. My future boners are telling me that they don't want to die and to please tone it down a lot.

Dubsington

I'm sorry to say, that looks rather garish. It took me some time to get used to the art style of LR2, but now I like it. This, however... is far too much, at least the lipstick. Colour too intense, lines too thick. Edit: Even the eyeshadow, I wouldn't call that subtle.

Do not enter the uncanny valley... <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_valley" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_valley</a>

a bit to weird those lips with the makeup

Pantyhoselover

I've loved all the other updates, but that lipstick seems a bit much for my tastes (Ends up looking a bit too much like clown makeup, at least to me). Will there be an option to globally disable make-up? Perhaps a purchasable dress code rule, at least? Thanks!
