You can see hints here and there from previous episodes like the ruined flag of San Magnolia, as well as the fallen statue and signs. And that field of Lycoris radiata? The same field Spearhead had previously passed by during episode 9. So in a way, everything has somewhat come full circle. 86 symbolism for you. And just to note, obvious reason as to why Lena doesn’t know it’s Shin, and Shin doesn’t know it’s her, is because neither have actually seen each other apart from hearing the others voice. It’s also said in the LN the speaker Shin was using was distorted from damage, and she’s also never seen the Undertaker mark, but Cyclops has, which is why the latter pointed it out.
