I had someone pretty directly imply that they "had" to say a bunch of terrible things to me because " I had an ego that was not proportional to my success so they had to break me and put me at the level I belong"

2024-06-04 20:17:07 +0000 UTCI am of the firm belief, that sometimes we have to chose ourselves. Even if it ends up feeling like a mean gesture, you come first, and in this case you did exactly that. With EVERYTHING you have going on, and you noticing the very early signs of toxicity, complete shift in personality, and manipulation, and just downright games, (the test really ticked me off, esp knowing what you were dealing with and at 32yo, goodness...) I would say you made the right choice and you'll be be much better off having made that choice :D
