Sometimes its useful to try to study the works of people who are better than you are and to replicate them. A lot of you have reached out about replicating Alex Guevara's style. And my answer is usually - I don't know how he does it. But I am working on a video on attractors and managed to create this look.  I'm not going to share this to Youtube since it's too derrivative (no pun intended)

but maybe you want to dig in to the project file.

Cheers

Did you figure this one out ?

Tye T

amazing. is there a way to have custom shapes that "restrict" the particle movement?

Pablo Torres

How could this be made to be responsive to sound?

Lucas

Not sure, from what I remember of Alex's Q&A at the TD meetup he uses very minimal GLSL and it's mostly Noise TOPs carrying the weight, and for Marta, without spilling any beans as we're good friends, it's mostly what I wrote before.

Is there a tute on this anywhere?

Dom Graveson

Mastering the Noise TOP (and chaining them) will get you very far and trick the viewer into seeing those things you listed

THis is very interesting. What always fascinated me was the ability to create a shape - either geometric, text, or perhaps fragments of waveforms, and then use these as attractors. Pang Marta and monocolor do this brilliantly
