I hate to break it to you, but Madoka Magica is the edgelord's magical girl series. If you liked it, I recommend checking out Revolutionary Girl Utena. I feel it not only does a better job of deconstructing the magical girl genre and how it relates to larger archetypes and themes related to it, but it also doesn't leave its characters' LGBTQ+ status up to the viewer's interpretation.

That one commenter summarized it beautifully: aot is very well written (in some aspects) and well written pieces of media make us empathize with unlikeable characters, or characters who’s goals are opposite to… common sense. I think 80% of the eren stans just haven’t yet reconciled with the fact that their comfort character is a massive dick. And I’m also a fan of a genocidal character. But just because I can emotionally relate to him doesn’t mean I support genocide. Shoutout to the thing you said about Palestine, that restores some hope in humanity. Also, another edgelord video??? Dude, you could make 20 versions of that video and I’d watch them twice or thrice. Also, don’t show your wife aot… she won’t ever watch another anime if that’s her third one
