The Next Couple of Weeks

There is going to be a change of plans as I fess up to a few things:

The familial issue that popped up a couple of weeks ago was a bit more serious than I let on, as was the fatigue brought on by attempting to get ahead in February. I am also simultaneously working on the quarterly one-shot and dealing with a lot of last-minute travel logistics and preparations — both of which are both really limiting my time and draining my energy this week. That combined with a nasty bit of writer’s block in regards to AoC chapter 82 has *really* taken the wind out of my sails this week.

So, here’s what’s going to happen:

I am going to put AoC to the side for a couple of weeks. The next two chapters centre around a MAJOR EVENT that I really want to get right and, right now, I don’t feel that I can do it justice. I will return to this once I come back from my vacation and write the next chapters in the way they deserve to be written.

Whilst on vacation, I will work on my novel when I have time. I leave for that this weekend. Until then, I will work on the one-shot, plus either my novel or PoP. I feel guilty leaving you guys without chapters for so long, but the temptation to spend two weeks on the novel is also very strong. We shall see.

I just thought I would come clean now because it has reached a point where several people around me are trying to convince me a break is needed.

Again, everything will resume as normal in April — this past month or so has kind of just been the perfect, exhausting storm. I do just want to stress one final time that this is all stemming from external stress and has nothing to do with writing burnout or anything of the sort.
