Messing around in Blender

I've been a little quiet these past two weeks. The reason is that I've been teaching myself how to use 3D and I've been completely immersed in it. I haven't had this much fun is such a long time! Truly. When I wake up in the morning, I can't wait to get back to it and learn more. This feels really good!
For the first couple of days, I tried to get the hang of basic modeling. I'm way too proud of that little teapot I made, haha.
After that, I looked into textures, lighting and rendering. And theeen I stumbled upon these really cool tutorials by Kristof Dedena on YouTube to create stylised things such as grass and clouds and painterly textures. So I followed them step by step and this is the result.
I find it really appealing that you can do a lot of more stylised things and think they'd be the perfect to streamline the illustration process. I eventually want to use all this that involves more complex perspective and lighting - like buildings and such. So I'm going to get on that pretty soon. Wish me luck!
