2022-01-27 06:54:16 +0000 UTCi think the reason why it looked like Jimin had showed the hat is that the cameraman was actually supposed to zoom in tightly to JK "catching" the hat but he forgot to, thus ruining the effect. this also reminds me of the cameraman's mistake in MMA 2018 when they were supposed to transition from JK to the dancing lion for idol but didn't transition fast enough...

2020-01-03 21:07:38 +0000 UTCI think the reason they went back to their old stuff and performed it was both a way to reconnect with their roots and maybe hint that they'll be bringing certain things back (i.e. boy with luv being a throw back to boy in luv) but also because they never got a chance to perform these songs at this scale. The really early stuff they got almost no attention for, was either not aired or filmed properly, they often didn't even get a chance to perform it at all-- and it wasn't because the songs or the dancing wasn't good it was just media bullshit because they came from such a small company. This feels like they're reclaiming this music for themselves and going "it was great now and it was great back then too if you'd been paying attention."

The next album will apparently cover the hyyh era (most beautiful moment in life albums: first dope & i need u, then run & butterfly, lastly fire & save me).

They were talking about how excited they were that the move was executed well. They even said that other shows shot from the side so they could see how they did that move. They never threw the hat in any performances of that routine.
