I think it would be really cool to have another podcast with maybe you and Matt shooting the shit, but I quite like the low energy nature of this. I tend to always listen to these whilst cleaning or working, and so they're nice to have on in the background when I'm just trying to chill. But I would still enjoy a podcast with guests and such, just differently, the way I'd enjoy the Podquisition sorta thing!

I wouldn’t be entirely adverse to sponsorships, especially considering you are essentially a business - mainly because I know if there was one, it would probably be tasteful and related to the content and interests of the channel and its audience. Speaking of sponsorships I have a small anecdote relating to Dan and sponsorships... In a game studio I used to work for (don’t get excited it was a free to play “triple-I” game that flopped), the community manager came over to me and said: “Oh you like Nerdcubed don’t you? We’re gonna get him to do a sponsorship for us” And I was like, “No you’re not?” “Yeah we are I have his email address” “That’s probably just so he can field offers without intent on accepting them, as he has a fairly large anti-sponsorship mentality” “Hmm well we’ll see” Cut to no Nerdcubed sponsorship and a podcast years later where Dan says something along the lines of “I just like to see what the going rate is” (or something along those lines, I have a crap memory).

Was that the one related to thumbnails? If so, I remember reporting that to Patreon well over a year ago and it took them ages to even fix it. For context to others: YouTube Thumbnails that Patreon used to display were not actually hosted on Patreon, it was just Patreon displaying the YouTube hosted thumbnail... the link of which contained the full video ID which could be copied and pasted to just give you access to the video link.

my RE teacher went away for having relationships with the first years the one after that was a massive conspiracy theorist one of my music teachers slept with a student on a trip to alton towers got to love catholic schools, eh? also, merch would be really cool, tiers I don't care much about but I imagine many people would be very keen to have them (as long as you keep your numbers public I'm happy haha) with neurodivergence, there's a really cool book of comics that's being made, it's full of lovely art from lovely people. if you love the mcu you should watch agents of shield dan, just stick with it for season 1, but from season 2 onwards it is one of the best tv shows ever (coming from me who has loved dr who for years, this show rivals my love for dr who)

I have a *lot* of thoughts and feelings about crypto currencies hahaha The first feeling just now is, (as it stands just now) there's pretty much no such thing as a "green" crypto currency If people come to me and say "oh what about chia", "what about PoS". what *about* them? Chia *destroys* SSDs and then they get *binned* I didn't know chucking e-waste into landfill was green now, unless they're referring the colour of the PCB that's leeching cobalt into the soil Proof of Stake is a term I've seen thrown around countless times back when the dream died for me like 6 years ago or whatever I'm no big hotshot financial guy, but from my layperson's understanding of how proof of stake works, it's fundamentally broken and really can't be used for anything that wants to call itself a "currency" The whole crypto stuff just depresses me, really There was a time when I really believed in it, I really *truly* did - it was supposed to be the path to The free movement of money without greedy corporate awfulness from the likes of paypal, and all the various evil banks Decentralised, with no prejudice or barriers to entry. people wouldn't be hamstrung by as many of the systems in place in the banking world that keep the disenfranchised down But then hotshot investors and grifters had to jump in and turn it into a confounded get rich quick scheme Bitcoin was a proof of concept, it should never have been anything more than an interesting artefact in the museum of progress Now it's synonymous with tech-bro douchebags and that makes me sad :( I hate the stock market, also It's a zero sum game where companies value are decided by well dressed, panicking, chimpanzees It's been proven time and time again that nobody *actually* knows what they're doing and buying stuff at random always works out better in every way The part that kills me though, is that every penny you "earn" (ooohhh I just hate that word here, it's no applicable in any way shape or form) is taken out of someone else's pocket Often times when they're at their most desperate because often times they're selling off their retirement fund to keep themselves afloat It's horrible All of it I hate the way the world is so much I just want to break down and cry It could have been great

Hello Daniel, I think you mentioned on your Returnal stream about a new channel showing all Nerdcubed videos in order, please DO IT! Call it Nerdcubed Nostalgia and just have a new video each day chronologically for us to enjoy all over again! I have hundreds of dvds but only tend to watch a film if it comes on tv 🤷🏻‍♂️ so having a fresh new subscription video brought to our eyes daily would be a great thing! As for Patreon tiers, I’m not fussed, I just give you my money 👍🏻

Companies really don't like fixing bugs in their websites. I found one in Patreon a while back that basically means teir gated youtube videos were leaked, it took them months to fix and their solution still isn't perfect.
