Doodle Diary: We escaped from a fire

Hi! Hope everyone is doing well. We had a bit of a scary experience yesterday. There was a fire on our floor two rooms down the hall from us. We were having breakfast when the staffs came to evacuate everyone out of the building. Pulay and I had to quickly grab important stuffs and ran out through the smoke filled hallway. The fire was very close to us, separated by only one room, so we were really worried it would spread to our place.

Thankfully they were able to stop the fire before it did too much damage. The staff said the air conditioner in that room was running and they couldn't contact the tenant. We suspect they might have been away for a long time and forgot to turn it off and it eventually caught on fire. I took a peek into the room and the entire wall was burnt black.

Such a relief that we didn't lose anything this time. Not gonna lie I was half-expecting the worst while waiting out the fire lol. We didn't do much yesterday, mostly getting rid of the ashes and smoke smell from our room, and standing by in case the staffs call for something.

Everything seems to be back to normal today. Excited to continue working on art and comics again.
