Robot Madness: What’s New @ the Table

Capoeira potion-drinker. It’s finally time to meet the second player party in Perpetua, a.k.a. the side of the game where we all refuse to have even an ounce of mercy for anyone trying to spell out our character names. Listen to The Flames of Burzin pt. 1 wherever you listen, and read the episode notes WHICH I TAKE SLIGHT UMBRAGE WITH here. And for the record, they’re Antistrophe, Brontë and Caoimhe. (Naq qba'g sbetrg Rsgn naq Mbysgn…)

Keep your hairshirt. Last week was also a Side Story release week. This episode was initially going to be a long awaited discussion of Fantasy Life i, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma and Elden Ring: Nightreign between Austin, myself and Keith with just an itty bitty mention of the Summer Game Fest 2025 streams but… Well… The 5-star runtimes come for us all in the end.

“We’re in a faux-pervert era.” Sylvi and Keith continued exploring the gnarled branches of Virtue’s Last Reward on Twitch last week. Slightly more blood than usual in that particular VOD, just as a heads-up. You can now also watch the archive for part 9, streamed back in April, over on YouTube.

“I intend to get into this serious-business-style.” It’s very important that Jack has now heard the greatest song in gaming history. It’s also very important that they’re a Jill main. Dreamcast Reading List pt. 4: Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is now on YouTube.

The best [cave] plans… Finally, we return to the peace of the farm: Ali’s 24th Fields of Mistria stream is up on YouTube.

Bonus! Craft Fair, or Craft fate? Dre went over to Berea, Kentucky a few weeks back (a craftsperson hotspot in the state, fyi) during the area’s annual Seconds Fair where artists mark down and sell items that they haven’t been able to sell otherwise. They found themself in front of a booth of handmade animal mugs (as I think we all would) run by a retired elementary school art teacher named Marshia Hawkins (no relation.) That’s where they found this little gem, which according to the artist herself is modelled specifically after terrapin turtles.

Since Dre’s Perpetua character is also modelled on terrapins it was an easy sale – to the point that they didn’t even notice the incredibly coincidental artist’s mark on the bottom until they got home. Marshia (who has no idea at all who we are but seems nice) has a bunch more animal & non-animal ceramics in her Etsy shop here

Hi, y'all, sorry to be a bother, but any updates on the status of Realis? That was meant to be a biweekly series, right? I think we're coming up on six weeks now since Realis 10.

Berea is a nice place. They have a pretty successful No Tuition policy at Berea College that has helped one of my friends go from construction labor into engineering, and their spouse with graphic design. They do internships and start to ramp folk into employment right from the get go. One of those places from my old kentucky home I'm really proud of. That mug is so awesome! I feel homesick for Kentucky looking at it and that can be a rare feeling. My hometown was a place where you are more likely to run into a wild turtle outside your home than you are a raccoon or opossum. They are so cool. Thanks for sharing!
