One Friday evening, a strange letter was slid under the door of Ryan's and Alexi's home in Muscle City. It was addressed to Ryan. With Alexi away for the week, Ryan opened the envelope and pulled out the solid-black paper with bold, red lettering.
It said that a new, shadowy wrestling federation was scouting recruits and he was one among 20 selected to join. The final paragraph said that he was being challenged to wrestle by the leader of the fed and to expect a match Saturday night at the Muscle City Arena.
"I'll be there..." the Colorado Cowboy growled, crushing the letter in his hand. He then ran out to Ronnie's gym to get in a workout and a spar in the gym's ring before the mysterious match.
From an adjacent alley, a mysterious man in a full-head mask watched Ryan enter the gym. His eyes narrowed from behind the black mesh of its front.
"I'll test your potential personally..." he spoke darkly to himself before slipping into the shadows.
