I grew up during my teenage years in a haunted house. I had no idea then, but now I know that I can sense/feel energies like a freaking bloodhound. I had my room in the basement, and I almost always felt the presence of very negative/bad/mean energies. I could sit at my desk infront of my computer and suddenly feel that something or someone was behind me, way too close, all up in my personal space. But I didn't dare to turn around because that energy was AGGRESSIVE, so to not lose my shit completely I did my best to keep on tapping away on my keyboard, and eventually it went away. I also felt like something or someone was going to slam my fingers in the doors whenever I was about to close them, I also refused to use the shower in the basement as I could sense someone/something being RIGHT BEHIND ME, and when I turned, it followed, like it was glued to my back. I could always sense different energies but none of them were kind, it was like they had decided to have a grudge against me simply for existing, some areas in the basement was worse than others but my bedroom was the worst hands down. After we've been living there for like five years my mom spoke to/hired a medium. And what did the medium say? That there was a f*cking portal in my room, so they basically just skipped in and out as they pleased. Now, I don't know how much I believe in this whole medium-mumbo jumbo but apparently she tried to "close" this portal. Did jackshit. She did however say that she sensed that both me and my sister are sensitive regarding energies. I began burning sage on a regular basis which did help a little bit (could of been placebo) but she didn't close no damn portal and the energies kept on pestering me, even though I attempted to speak kindly to them. I woke up several times with dark shadows around my bed, which basically evaporated when I came more to my senses. I began exploring this whole sensing/feeling energies and have learned a lot about it, I'm proud to say that I explored this on my own and that way have learned a lot, I started walking around in the house and in the yard to feel where there weren't shitty energy going on, simply so I could meditate in peace. Nature became a safe haven for me and it's very underrated. If you're in the woods or a forest and pick up anything off the ground, ask yourself if it feels okay or not. If not, put it back, it doesn't wish to be disturbed. If it feels okay, bring it home with you, as a charm of sorts. I don't live in that house anymore and to those energies I just want to say: Fuck you, but I wish for you all to have found some sort of peace. I'm sorry for the very long comment.

I went to Gettysburg for a short trip and I swear I saw a couple ghostly things. One was only a bed ruffle that would move on its own, really probably wind from somewhere. The other was that we were in a dark basement on a ghost tour. I swear I saw a red light and mist. I honestly thought it was just a trick that was set up until my friend said she saw nothing like it. Could have been my mind playing tricks but it was so real to me

I grew up in a house that will make you question things if you're a complete nonbeliever. Nobody in my family, other than me and the aunt who live here, will stay here alone. Several of my cousins are legitimately TERRIFIED and refuse to stay; they're grown men! I also had an experience at a friends house many years ago that shook me up pretty badly. I'm not one to be afraid of the dark or psych myself out, but that night was different and I will never forget it. The house has since burnt down, my friend's family moved, and a new house was built on the lot. I could write something about the experience. The whole town was weird, not just the house! There was an old preschool from the early 1900's, just sitting in the middle of town. It was all locked up, and you could look inside to see the little desks with paper and pencils still there covered in a sheet of dust. It was like they had to get up and leave very suddenly, and never made it back. Nobody acknowledges it or knows what's up with it. It's just...there? There were other buildings like that but I never got to see them.

I used to be visited by the ghost of a cat when i was younger. It would sit on my lap when I was in bed.

Okay, so no BUT I remember being 8 or 9 and my dad got me an antique doll at an auction (this was back in the late 90s). It was one of those dolls that had a porcelain head, arms and legs, but anything that was covered by it's ruffly dress was just a regular, stuffed doll. I was fluffing up its skirt one night, and money fell out. I remember being very surprised and riding my bike out to a small convenience store the next day to buy a bunch of almond joys bc my mom was allergic to nuts so she couldn't have any lol.

I currently live in Saint Louis, Missouri, and there's an infamous haunted house here called the Lemp Mansion. Soooooo, one day, I was at the mansion for lunch right? Tell me why, I heard a group of people upstairs having a meeting and I decided to check it out. I peaked my head through the heavy doors and there were people sitting around the roundtable, dressed in tuxedos and black dresses. I was caught off guard honestly. The head man at the table asked if I needed assistance and ofc I said no. Get this y'all, I pull back, close the doors, turn back around for a split second to say something to him, and everybody had vanished outta thin air.

I thought I saw a shadow man at the bottom of the stairs once in the night. He turned out to be some dude trying to rob me 🤔

I’m sorry, hallucinations or not, hearing voices in a dark room is terrifying regardless! Also, didn’t expect to see a ghost get roasted for his fashion choices here, lol that’s so perfect! 😆 my dandy guy sounds like he’s back from the golf course early! 😭

okay so disclaimer, I was/am mentally ill and was unmedicated as a kid. my experiences could’ve been hallucinations. anyway! from ages like, four to eight, I lived in a new build in a shitty suburb in Ohio. you would think a new house would not be haunted but, well! I saw a full-body apparition (sort of, he had no head and nothing below the knees). it was a man wearing a sweater vest, a white shirt, and khakis. not to be mean to the ghost but what a boring fit. i also heard a disembodied voice say “goodnight, [deadname]” behind my headboard. it was a very deep, masculine voice — mind you, the only people in the house were me, my mom, and my grandmother. it was SO close, like someone was right there. I’ve had other experiences, but those technically have alternate explanations even though they were actually quite scary lmao.

yesssss. there's one i sent to the second channel email but i'll summarize it to keep it short: i grew up in a haunted house from the age of 5 or 6 to about 14. there was one night there i was lying in bed trying to sleep and then i heard a little girl's voice say "mama?" and it sounded like it came from only a few feet away. at first i thought it was just my imagination but then my mom asked me if i said mama, meaning she heard it too. i'm an only child and there nobody in the house that could've said that, and none of my toys that had talking features said mama. my dad was away on a business trip too so it's not like he could've somehow been pulling a prank on us or something so weird. both my mom and i have never been able to explain it there's more unexplainable things that happened in that house but this is the one that really stuck out and still sticks out to this day. every now and then when i'm going to sleep i think, ''i swear to god, i better not hear 'mama'" lol (i'm 28 now and it happened when i was like 7 or 8)
