Bye Patreon

Soon I'll be unpublishing my Patreon.  It sounds like all unpublishing does is keep the content archived, and suspend the patreon without billing people indefinitely, so if I decide to relaunch it again, the content should also be restored.  Though for all intents I don't really have plans to relaunch it.  I'm also getting rid of Subscribestar altogether because very few people migrated over to it.

Why?  A couple reasons if you care to read ahead.  Last December I took a break due to burnout and I have to say it was a very nice feeling not having to worry about Patreon and artwork for that month.  Once the month was over I made the move to learn Blender.  I was getting bored of SFM and wanted to try something new.  Well now after a few months getting to know Blender I can say that it failed to fill the void I felt with SFM.  My burnout never fully left and I feel it now more than ever.  I also have other things that have been stressing me out with my artwork, like not producing as fast as I did with SFM because I have a full time job, and a relationship/house to take care of.  My pace was also slowed because Blender is more complicated to work in.  And finally, my health has been getting worse because of the prolonged period I've spent indoors, sitting down staring at a computer, and not moving around due to working on art.  In short, doing art isn't fun anymore which is a big problem, and it's to the point it's started to negatively affect my health.  An even bigger problem.

My solution is simple.  Get rid of what stresses me with artwork in a way that lets me do it at my own pace and work on my health.  So that means anything related to money obligations (Patreon/SS) needs to go.  My activity in discord is also going to be cut down and my own discord server is also going to be deleted in a few days.  It's very inactive which is my fault for not nurturing it as well as I should have but I have to admit some of my big weaknesses are that I'm not a good community manager or the greatest people person.  I should have tried to get someone else to take on that role but by the time I realized, it was too late.  As it is right now, it's a reminder of that failure and I think it's best to wipe it clean.

I want to stress though I am not quitting art.  

I just want to get back to a good place before I start making it again and when I get there I will make what I want at my own pace.

So for now, I'll leave this Patreon up a few more days before unpublishing it.  Make sure you grab everything you want before it goes away.  I may one day release everything I've ever made so nothing is totally lost or forgotten but that won't be for awhile.  In the mean time, please do not post art that was on Patreon/Subscribestar out to the public.  I want to have the right to post it out there when I want to.

I also have a bunch of art that will be made public in the next few weeks on Twitter from the art packs I've worked on but after that's all out there, it will be awhile before I post something again.
