2023-06-03 16:26:18 +0000 UTCTHIS IS MY EPISODE IT WAS MADE FOR ME. Seriously as someone with about 28 years in various martial arts, I am so glad I got out of MMA. Like my dojo that I had been attending since I was 4 started offering BJJ when I was 19, and the influx of assholes worse than the assholes I already had to deal with. We went through like three instructors during the year before I quit out altogether. But I try to keep my ear to the ground, especially because one of my favorite boxers and hometown hero Holly Holm is having a successful career. Also on the school factionalism thing, that culture is still alive and well in the US, the martial arts community here is kind of a hot mess on the level of The Real Housewives.
