This one is a rather interesting challenge from [Anonymous], a character design commission with a twist: The character had to fit within the setting of Alvez, the worlds of my original fantasy series, Kroashent. Kroashent draws from the folklore and history of Brittany in Northwestern France, a world of Faerie curses, flying ships and fearsome dragons. Designing a character to fit in with my own characters was a fun challenge, and I am pretty happy with the results. I am happy to introduce Kristol/Cristal! Kristol is a merchant in the clothing and style of an average Bretoned of his class, while her female form has a more rogue-like design.
I had a lot of fun on this one, let me know what you think!
------------------------
Kristol was a simple pilhaouer (an itinerant merchant selling rags, trinkets and small tools from town to town in Breizh), traveling between his home in the Are Mountains to the merchant town of Montroulez on the coast. When he discovered a rune-covered cauldron deep in the forest, he thought he had found a windfall that would fetch a nice price from the collectors in the city. Only later did he discover the cauldron was cursed, changing him into a woman! Now Cristal must find a way to break the curse!
