July 2023 Production Update

Now that Part 16 is done, I’m working on Parts 17 and 18. I hope to finish them both before December this year, but my track record of getting videos done when I plan to hasn’t been great lately, so it’s very possible that they won’t both be done by then. However, based on how badly the releases of parts 14, 15, and 16 went, I’ve decided that I need to release parts 17 and 18 within a week of each other, just like I did with parts 12 and 13.
That means that even if I finish one of them by December this year, I probably won’t publish it immediately. That way, I can save it until the other one’s done and publish them together in June 2024. If that happens, I might very well have enough time to finish Part 19 before next June as well, which would mean that, for the first time ever, I would have three 50 Ways videos coming out in the same month! Of course, as Patrons, all of you will get to see both videos as soon as they’re done, so it probably doesn’t matter to you when I release them to the rest of the public, but I felt like it would be a good idea to keep you all informed of my long-term plans.
As I mentioned in a previous production update, I plan to make each of the next few 50 Ways videos modpack-themed to give the series some fresh new source of material to work with. Right now, it’s looking like Part 17 is going to be RL Craft themed and Part 18 will probably be Create+ themed. At this point, I’m still in the brainstorming-ideas portion of the process, in which I will remain until I have enough good ideas to make the next two videos. I’ve already got a handful of RL Craft and Create Mod ideas left over from brainstorming ideas for Part 16 and I’ve come up with another handful since. Once I have enough (which I hope happens before August rolls around), I’ll make a production plan for myself and get to work.
