December 2023 Production Update

Right now, I’m working on two more 50 Ways to Die in Minecraft videos that should go live in June 2024. One is about RL Craft, and the other one is about the Create+ modpack. I’ve finished enough clips to make the final edit of the RL Craft video, but I’m still working on the clips for the Create+ video. A month ago, I said that I was still in the preproduction phase of a big scene for the Create+ video with 25 deaths in it. At the time I’m writing this, I finished editing that big 25-death-scene two days ago and am now working on the remaining Create+ clips.

Normally when I make a 50 Ways video, I try to produce 60 clips of players dying in funny ways so I can eliminate the 10 least funny clips for quality control. But for the Create+ video, since I’m worried that people will feel cheated by the 25-death-scene taking up half the video, I’m only going to count that scene as 5 deaths instead of 25. Therefore, in order to keep up my usual standard, I’m aiming for 80 clips instead of 60 for the Create+ video, which means I still need to make 14 more. I’m sure I can finish that by the end of December.

Once I’ve finished all the Create+ clips, it’ll be time to work on the final edits of both videos. Once they’re done, I’ll post them to Patreon so that you can all see them. Then, I’ll begin working on a third video for June 2024, which will likely be another Jake Pit video, but I’m also considering making a stand-alone Redstone Ned video. I haven’t decided which yet, but I doubt I’ll be ready to start working on it by the end of December anyway.
