Alpha Update (June)

Hello, I’m writing this on my phone (and I’m an awful texter so please forgive any typos) because I tried to use my laptop charging cable (despite the fact that it electrocuted me) because my computer was dying as I was finishing up bug-testing for the update. Anyway, it nearly caught fire, so here I am on my phone! I will be offline/generally unreachable until the new cable arrives this week! 😅 And if there are any bugs in this update, I’m sorry, I was racing against my laptop’s battery!

What’s new?

All routes of Chapter 1 are done: includes storming the compound with Trouble. (Note: VERY RUSHED, this is a rough draft only! Needs expansion!)
All routes of Chapter 2 are done: includes the gala with Prihine dead and Chase’s Route. (Note: VERY RUSHED, this is a rough draft only! Needs expansion!)
All routes of Chapter 3 are done: includes playing the chapter as a non-Circle Mage. (Note: I did not check past entering the Phantom Shore, so if Red acts like you’re a Circle Mage but you’re not, please let me know!)
Gambling added to day off hub (Note: need to visit Chandry 5 times and have a good relationship with him to unlock, which I don’t think you can do in the alpha build yet)
Magic-boosting activities specific to each specialization added to day off hub (Note: you need to train in magic a few times first)
Minor bugs and continuity fixes added, including Blade acknowledging talking to you about the Autarch prior to the Phantom Shore, Chase’s lockpicking sequence being fixed so the conversation doesn’t end early, and more
Based on feedback, numbers for using magic against the Faceless Lords have been adjusted. Training in magic on your day off now gives you +15% magic rather than 10. All specializations and backgrounds should be able to do it now, with varying levels of difficulty; however, this change may have also made it too easy. If you find your magic stat far past what’s required to defeat the Faceless Lord (+5 points or more), please let me know!
