All About Alpha Game

I'm writing this post to help explain how the "Alpha" game works and to have as a resource I can send to new patrons.  

So what is Alpha?
Alpha is a stand-alone version of Farm RPG I use for development and testing.  It is completely disconnected from the live version of the game.  It runs on its own server too.

How do I get to it?
First, be an Alpha tier Patreon supporter.  You can then get to the Alpha game in a few ways.  1) If you have Alpha status on the live game, at the bottom of Home there is a "Jump to Alpha game" button.  2) You can also get to it from https://alpha.farmrpg.com

Can I get to Alpha from the mobile apps?
Yes, login to the live game on iOS or Android, and at the bottom of Home you will see "Jump to Alpha game".

How do I login?
If you have been playing Farm RPG since before April 4, 2022 you can login with the same account you use on the live game.  You can also make a new account on the Alpha game.  Your existing account will be as it was on April 4, 2022.

What is "God Mode"?
All NEW Alpha accounts will start in God Mode.  God Mode gives you unlimited Silver and Gold.  This is helpful in testing the progression of the game and various systems.  There's a lot of things you can do quickly this way.

How do I enabled "God Mode"?
It is enabled by default on new accounts on the Alpha game.  You can create as many accounts as you would like to assist in testing.

Does my progress on Alpha sync with the live game?
No, Alpha game is currently on a copy of the live game's database from Oct 26, 2021.  It is running independent of the live game.

When are new things added to Alpha?
Almost daily, but weekly for sure.  Often I'm on there tinkering around with things or adding new stuff.  I try to announce it and I try to be in chat also.  If it's a major thing I'll post about it on Patreon.  Basically, check in whenever you want and you might catch me working on something.

How do we provide feedback on Alpha changes?
You can message me on the Alpha game directly or reply to Patreon posts I make about Alpha features.  Those are the most direct ways.  Oh, also you can use chat if I'm there talking about a change.
