According to the information currently provided it shouldn't. He's found a way to launder his money by funneling it through his caravan investments and his account was opened with Alaric backing as the guarantor. His purchase of herbs were done carefully (beyond the first person that recognized him as an apprentice) and not sure a real magic user would be that interested in something they deem as lower class alchemist work. Dominic seems to be smuggling the potions out of the city so there is no suspicious increase that would be noted by the Alchemist either. Besides even if it is found out, with his magical talent, they'd use the information as leverage (if they care at all) rather than a punishment I would think.
