As I have finally run out of all my stockpiled chapters, I need to slightly reduce the release rate in order to maintain the quality of my writing. From now on, the release rate will be 5 chapters per week (from Monday to Friday).

I don't think these two situations are comparable. Firstly, the situation with Elena happened more than two years ago, when he just arrived in the city and nobody knew about his magic talents. He also needed to keep his job, so he decided to keep a low profile and not be bothered by it. You can notice that Elena's attitude changed completely when she learned that he was a mage. On the other hand, the Vogt knew very well about his power and still tried to use him for his personal gains. Darian doesn't like being used, so he simply showed him his place. It may come off as a little harsh, but Darian wanted to make a point. Besides, he simply turned down his offer; he didn't do anything to him that could be perceived as "evil."

2023-08-23 06:41:34 +0000 UTCThis personality is confusing. He thinks he's a better person and doesn't snub his daily tormentor for years - Elena. But then he acts all snobbish and evil towards the Vogt, when he was just trying to protect his daughter. Seems quite contradictory.
