Added 2022-10-30 14:32:59 +0000 UTCLast weekend we had a day of filming for an upcoming episode about … the thing you can see here in the background (how mysterious!). Our friend here portrays a Roman (auxilia) soldier coming back from a successful hunt, with his indigenous bow - with the string already detached - on his shoulder. By his cingulum (military belt), gladius (sword) and caligae (boots) he is still clearly identifiable as a Roman soldier. We were very pleased with the authentic and different look of this soldier/hunter, so we thought we’d share that with you. More exciting is that we will be posting a behind-the-scenes video about this project later this week, so stay tuned :)
