“Oh darling, yes.” Anna moaned.
Her skirt was hiked up around her waist, I had her balanced precariously on a side table, my fingers in her hole and my other hand holder her face. The flower vase I’d knocked to the ground had spilt water all around my feet but I didn’t care. What I cared about were the short, pleasured gasps escaping Anna’s pretty little mouth.
I knew her every moan and sigh now and what they meant; and these little gasps told me she was getting close. I added another finger, pressing in deep to tease her G-spot before retreating over and over to keep her on the edge.
“D-darling, please!”
“Not yet.”
“Ooohhh…Ohhh more, please, I’m so close-!”
I slid another finger inside and she wailed, finally unable to take it anymore. There was a gush as she came and I felt a victorious smile form on my face as I finger fucked her through three more before she was finally spent.
“That was incredible darling.” She breathed, handing me a handkerchief from her cleavage to clean my hands. “But did you have to sacrifice the Ming vase?”
She picked it up and inspected the china which somehow hadn’t broken thanks to the plush carpet in the hall.
“It’s fine.” I waved, “besides you loved it.”
“You know I always do.”
Anna winked at me and placed the vase back on the table; a moment later a maid appeared with a mop and broom ready to tidy away the flowers and water. Her face was implacable; despite the fact she’d clearly heard us. Most of our staff were used to Anna and I by now; why limit yourself to the bedroom? Especially in a house as large and grand as ours; we’d barely visit some of the other rooms otherwise.
We made our way, hand in hand, out into the garden to relax with a cup of tea. The spring season was due to end in a few weeks and we have so many ball invitations to sort through. Everybody wanted us at their parties, almost as much as they wanted to be at the ones we hosted. I’d even overheard another woman bragging about receiving an invitation to my winter season finale last year. To know that only a few years ago Anna and I were considered almost taboo seemed strange to think about.
Ever since that spring ball three years ago, we’d been the talk of the town. Our parties were legendary and your outfits always made the cover of magazines. It was hard to believe I’d ever lived as a man; I’d grown so accustomed to this world and its ways that I’d almost forgotten the other sex existed at all. Frankly, I found this world much more orderly with their absence.
“Lady Sybil is hosting a ball next week.” Anna said coolly, “She’s invited us. Again.”
“I heard the last one was quite good.”
“Yes, but it’ll never be an event to talk about without us there.”
Ana smiled coldly; she may have forgiven Sybil once for abandoning her when we married but twice was too much; even for my darling’s kind heart.
“We should go.” She said after a moment's thought. “Show her we’re above all of this now. Show everybody just how petty she is.”
“There are three other balls that week.” I protested. “I’m getting tired just thinking about it.”
Anna giggled.
“You’re always tired these days, darling. Too much lovemaking and not enough sleep, that’s your problem.”
I swatted her playfully and went back to my tea.
~
I hated to admit it; but first impressions of Sybil’s ball were actually rather good. The main hall had been decorated with silver and red balls and lights were strung across the ceiling to look like falling snow. It was all rather enchanting.
“She did always have good taste in decorations if nothing else.” Anna sighed with a shrug. “Why don’t we dance? Then greet her, by accident of course.”
“Can we eat first? I’m starving.” I asked, “and I see a little buffet table set up over there with winter pastries and cakes…”
“You think with your stomach too much.” Anna teased lightly, “go on, I will go and mingle for a bit.”
I nodded and made my way over to the food table, picking up a flute of champagne on the way. I lifted it to my mouth but the moment the dry smell hit my nose I felt my stomach churn. Sybil usually had good taste in wine but if this was how the vintage smelt I certainly wasn’t putting it in my mouth!
I reached the food table and discreetly placed the flute down where hopefully nobody would notice and observed the offerings. Little cakes, pies and pastries; some of my favourites. I loaded my plate as much as was usually acceptable and quickly stuffed two or three in my mouth. Delicious.
“Lady Analise!”
I spun around to see several of the noble ladies I would consider friends and did my best to smile through my full cheeks.
“I never thought I’d see you at one of Lady Sybil’s parties!”
“Oh, what a lovely gown, is it new?”
It was in fact, specially made for winter from light golden fabric woven with red and silver. Without meaning to, I’d matched decor and outshone it all at once. I swallowed quickly and nabbed the cribs from the corner of my full lips with a smile.
“Oh, we can't shun Sybil forever.” I said sweetly. “After all, she was just a little hysterical, you know how she is. I am sure she’s much more well behaved now.”
They all nodded sagely and continued to fuss over my outfit and I let them. One thing I’d discovered living this life is there was nothing quite so affirming as a group of tipsy women; they threw out compliments like a redneck threw out slurs. It was hard to be low on self-confidence when you were constantly being showered with compliments. Not that I could ever be self-conscious in this Goddess-like body.
We ate and continued to chat until all of a sudden, my stomach churned again but in a much more dangerous way. I looked down at my plate and realised it was empty; oh dear.
“Excuse me!” I said hurriedly. rushing for the nearest bathroom.
My tailor would never forgive me if I was sick all over this dress! Luckily, I wasn’t but it was a near thing. When I came out of the bathroom Anna was there looking worried.
“Are you okay? Catherine said you ran off looking very pale.”
“I just ate too much too quickly.” I blushed. “It upset my stomach, that's all.”
Anna opened her mouth to say something else but another voice interrupted before she had the chance.
“Well, if it isn’t the Ladies An!”
I looked over to see Sybil standing there with that same fake sweet smile on her face. I could tell in an instant that she hadn’t forgive us at all for what happened years ago at that spring dance.
“Ladies An?” I raised an eyebrow.
“Why yes, that’s what all the magazines call you both, Lady Anna, Lady Annalise. It’s a perfect little nickname, don't you think?”
“It’s lovely.” I deadpanned.
“So sorry we didn't formally greet you when we first arrived, Lady Sybil.” Anna said. “We simply couldn’t find you, though that must have been our mistake. After all, the host always makes an entrance and then greets all guests by the door, do they not?”
“Oh, I forgive you.” Sybil said pointedly. “I just have so many guests here it’s hard to find everyone when my parties are so popular. Not that you two would know since you haven’t attended a single one in the last few years.”
I had to resist the urge to roll my eyes; last I checked none of us were in high school. This sort of petty back and forth was so beneath us, but what choice did we have?
“Yes, our fault entirely, we just get invited to so many balls.” I replied. “It’s hard to keep everybody in the rotation without exhausting ourselves.”
Sybil’s eyebrow rose then looked me up and down.
“Yes well, I suppose it is harder for you to get around these days. Might I suggest you lay off the cakes before you get too pudgy?”
If Anna hadn't been between us, I would have clocked here right there and then. Having the audacity to call me fat? My figure might have been a bit womanlier but it was as far from fat as you could get without being a stick figure like her!
“I’m afraid my darling is feeling a bit under the weather.” Anna said cooly, holding my shoulders tightly. “We’ll have to go early.”
“Yes, well, I will forgive you.” Sybil said, already glancing around at the small crowd gathering towards us. Another scandal on the horizon with her at the centre.
“I’m sure you will.” I said through gritted teeth before adding a bit louder. “It was those pastries. I knew they tasted odd…”
Sybil said something very unladylike under her breath as I passed and I resisted the urge to stick my tongue out.
Secretly, I was glad we were going, just being in this house with that witch was making me feel queasy all over again.
~
“The utter audacity of that woman!” I cursed as I sat myself down on the bed in my nightgown. “Calling me fat! Just because she’s a stick!”
Margaret rubbed my feet with sympathy as Anna finished her bath.
“She is a piece of work, milady.” She nodded.
“I may have a healthy appetite but I’ve not gained a pound! I’m just curvy!”
There was a pause and I felt Margaret hesitate.
“Margaret, is there something you want to say?”
“Well…I have been lacing your corset a little looser lately, milady.” She blushed.
I felt my cheeks heat.
“I’m gaining weight?”
“Well, yes but I don’t think it’s the cake. Respectfully my lady. I didn't want to say anything, it’s not my place.”
I narrowed my eyes at her as she continued to rub my feet nervously.
“What do you mean?”
“It’s just that all the signs are there.”
“Signs?”
“The tiredness, sore feet, uneasy stomach, a swollen belly…”
I blinked in confusion for a moment before I put all the symptoms in line.
“Wait…are you saying I’m pregnant!?”
I hadn't even considered that possibility, there were no men here! How could I get pregnant, then again, if there were no men in this world how did they repopulate? It only made sense that somehow, women could get other women pregnant. I felt stupid for not having realised sooner. With the amount of sex Anna and I had it was a miracle it hadn’t happened sooner.
“I think so milady. You’ve not bled in some time.”
She’s right; I was feeling more and more stupid by the second.
“I think maybe you should retire for the night, Margaret.”
“I’ll go help Lady Anna.” She nodded. “I won’t say a thin, milady. It’s your news to share.”
The door closed with a click and I was alone. Except I wasn't I wouldn’t be alone for at least a few more months. I placed a hand on my belly, it was slightly rounded now that I looked at it properly. A baby. I was going to have a baby. Me!
I’d not really considered being a parent in any reality, let alone carrying the child myself. Anna and I had never discussed having a family; did she even like children? Would this be something she wanted?
“Are you alright, darling? You look a bit peaky.”
I jumped on the spot; I hadn't even heard her come in!
“Sorry, I…have something on my mind.”
“What? You know you can talk to me about anything.” She sat down on the bed and patted the mattress next to her.
I sat down beside my wife and swallowed nervously.
“Anna, do you want a daughter? A child?”
She seemed surprised by the question and bit her lip.
“Yes.” She admitted. “But we’d never talk about it, I was afraid to bring it up.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know, I guess if I never bought it up you could never say no and then it would always be a possibility.”
I felt my lips twitch into a soft smile.
“It’s more than a possibility.”
I took her hand gently and placed it on my stomach. Anna’s pretty mouth formed a perfect O as her eyes went wide.
“You’re-?”
“Yes.”
“You’re sure?”
“As sure as I can be without blowing up like a balloon. Though I am sure that’s coming.”
“Oh darling!!”
She wrapped herself around me tight as a snake and buried her head in the nape of my neck. I could feel the skin there growing damp from happy tears as she pulled away.
“That’s wonderful!”
“You think so?”
“Oh, darling I could not be happier!” Anna said tearfully, “We will be wonderful mothers.”
“You’ll love me even when I’m the size of this house?”
She threw back her head and laughed.
“Darling, you realise being pregnant means you will go up at least one cup size. Maybe two once you start feeding.”
“Oh Lord, I might smother you if I top.”
We both burst into laughter until Anna wrapped herself around my middle and pressed a hand softly to my belly.
“Our little girl…what should we call her.”
“Sybil?”
“Don’t even joke.”
I thought for a moment and shrugged; we had plenty of time to decide on a name. Anna continued to rub circles on my belly as she listed all the things to organise; new dresses for me of course, not to mention hiring a decorator to create a nursery, new maids to hire, governess and of course the biggest baby shower the city had ever seen.
I settled back against the headboard and let Anna continue to talk, letting the cadence of her voice carry me off to a sort of relaxed half sleep. I’d never felt as loved or happy in all my life; this moment was utterly perfect. I still had no idea how I came to be in this reality but I’d stopped caring. This life of luxury, with my sexy body and amazing wife was better than anything my old one could have become. And now I was going to be a mother; I couldn’t wait to see what the future held.
