Out of This World - Part 9 (Finale) [Sexy Alien Space Babe TG]

Part 3: Freedom

Chapter 3

Mal took a deep breath and let it out; she never thought she would be so happy to be in Haven’s cargo bay. After the shuttle, the wide open space felt incredible, and judging by the rumbling sound Vul made, he agreed. The face, though, they were the best part. Without a word, she ran right into Zara’s waiting arms and kissed her passionately. She could feel so much; the room was filled to the brim with happiness. All of her crew, her family, were happy to see her. The only one who wasn't ecstatic was Kris but that was only because he seemed so nervous to be out in the frontier where asteroids could hit them at any moment. Mal didn't focus on that though, she focused on the woman in her arms.

“Gods, I’ve missed the taste of you.” She murmured.

“The feeling is mutual.”

“Hey! What am I? Chopped liver?”

Mal giggled.

“I missed you too, Ray,” she said sweetly, kissing him on the cheek. “And I brought a new playmate for us and maybe one for Zenk.”

She waved her long limbs over to Caleb, who blushed.

“Aren’t those two part of the group that took you?” Zara narrowed her eyes, but Mal squeezed her arms comfortingly. Even as she felt a wave of anger wash over her.

“Caleb had a change of heart. He helped me escape, and poor Vul, that bounty hunter treated him so poorly.”

She managed to give a quick rundown of exactly what she had been through, all the while feeling the emotions in the room reacting with each new detail. Zara’s, though, were powerful, far stronger than normal, in fact.

“And that’s when you showed up.” Mal finished, “Hey, now that I think about it, how did you find me all the way out here?”

Zara blushed.

“I can…sense you. Vrylix can explain it better, but it seems like I’m your mate.”

“My mate??”

“Apparently!”

“...I feel like I should have been told.”

Zara threw back her head and laughed just as Vrylix whacked Mal in the side with his tail.

“If you’d read those damn data pads I’d bought you on Sedun physiology-”

“Last I checked, doc, I haven’t been in school for at least a decade, so…can you really blame me for not doing my homework?”

“Yes!” Vrylix cried exasperated. “Yes, I can!”

It was Mal’s turn to giggle; being back here with her family felt so good.

“You!”

The mood was instantly ruined by the yell and they all turned to see Lolth leaning up against the boarding platform between the two ships; Jareth’s gun dangled between his fingers.

“You didn't tie him up!” Kris squeaked.

“I knew we forgot something…”

“I am getting that fucking bounty.” Lolth hissed, “I contacted the ship, they’re on their way and when they get here you and the rest of your little crew are going to be Murdeek’s playthings when he escapes!”

Kris looked like he was about to pass out but the rest of the crew rallied around Mal. Raymond moved fast, running for the docking bay doors and slamming the doorway closed between Lolth could fully cross into Haven. The metal sliding door slid closed, cutting him off and trapping him in the docking corridor. Mal couldn't help but flinch as several loud bangs, followed by the sound of bullets hitting metal, echoed through the room.

“We need to move!” Ray yelled, “Come on!”

“What about Lolth?” Caleb asked.

“If he’s smart, he’ll get back into that shuttle before we disconnect the corridor.” Zara said darkly, “Come on.”

Ray slid into the pilot's seat and the rest of the crew strapped in behind. Mal joined Zara by her chair and grinned; her heart was excitedly pounding. Jobs had never been this fun when she was a man. Yes, some part of her was scared, but with Zara by her side, she felt like she could do anything.

“Let’s rock and roll, kids!” Raymond yelled, flicking his sunglasses down as the engines roared to life.

“Uh, Captain, there is another ship coming!” Kris squeaked. “W-what do we do?”

“We give the engines all they’d got!”

Haven careened through the asteroid field, weaving between colossal chunks of rock and ice that hurtled through the void. Mal gripped the captain’s chair's armrests, her dark eyes narrowing as she watched the view from the main viewport. The ship rattled violently with each near miss, but Zara maintained her composure, her cool expression belying the chaos outside. That confidence steeled Mal and the rest of the crew, save Kris, and they all focused on watching the consoles. Even though Caleb had never been on Haven before, he took up one of the navigation points and started yelling directions at Raymond to help avoid their pursuers.

"Keep it steady, Ray!" Zara called, her voice cutting through the din.

Jareth’s voice crackled over the communication port, as did Lolth and Haven’s system beeped with an incoming call from the drop-off ship as well which Mal stubbornly refused to answer. He didn't need to see the faces of those men just yet. They’d be Murdeek’s high ranking officials and they were all the same; cold, commanding, dull.

"How long until we clear this field?" she demanded.

"F-Five minutes, maybe less," Kris stammered, sweat beading on his brow. "But they’re gaining on us, Mal. If they catch up—"

"They won’t," Mal interrupted, “Ray’s got this.”

The pilot just whooped excitedly.

"We need to send them a message," Zara whispered to Mal. “Or they’ll just send more. What’s the point of escaping if we’re going to have to run all the time?”

“Are you saying we should play rough?” Mal asked.

“I’ve always liked things a little rough.”

“Kinky.”

“Can you two stop flirting and focus on the asteroids!” Kris cried, “O-or the ships!?”

Caleb just clapped him on the shoulder.

“Don’t worry bird boy, I got this, on your starboard!”

“On it!”

Ray swerved around a large rock and the other two ships zoomed right past them before quickly turning.

“Open the communication channel to both of them.” Mal ordered, letting her voice turn cold. “I have a few things to say.”

Caleb hesitated for a split second before obeying, opening a channel to the other ship. Mal stood, her eyes fixed on the viewport, as she imagined the faces of Jared and Lolth and then the cold-faced human man who was to be her next jailkeeper.

"This is Mal," she purred, her voice carrying an edge of menace. "You’ve been a thorn in my side for long enough. Consider this your only warning—come after me again, and I’ll make sure you regret it. And believe me, I’m very good at making people regret their choices."

Her tendrils flared menacingly and she leaned up against Zara’s chair, placing a hand on her shoulders.

“See, the only reason I didn’t set a trap to blow both of you sky high, is that I wanted to get home to my darling here, and the rest of my family.”

She paused, letting her words sink in before adding,

"Now, turn around and run while you still can. Because if you’re still behind me when we clear this field, I’ll ensure you never see the inside of a spaceport again. In less than two days I turned Jareth's whole operation against him…Imagine what I could do if I really tried."

She gestured to Caleb to cut the transmission, and the silence that followed was punctuated only by the roar of the shuttle’s engines. Mal watched the sensors, her heart beating with the blips indicating the other ship on the sensor. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the other ship broke off its pursuit, veering away from the asteroid field and out of their sensor range. Mal allowed herself a small, satisfied smile.

“That was hot,” Raymond said, raising his eyebrows.

"Just keep us steady until we’re in the clear," she said, her voice once again calm and commanding.

“Hey, who’s the captain here?” Zara chuckled as Mal sat herself down in her lap.

“Oh, you, babe. I’d never dream of taking the captain's seat…the captain herself on the other hand…”

“I think I am going to get a station job,” Kris said weakly.

“Come on, we’re newlyweds, after all, we’re allowed to be all lovey-dovey.” Zara giggled, giving Mal another quick kiss.

“You’re not getting away that easily.” Mal teased, drawing her back in for a much longer, more passionate embrace.

She could hear the crew around them groaning and teasing them but she didn’t care; they’d all have their turn soon enough, but right now she just wanted her mate.

“That sounds completely insane.” Til’this gasped as she laid out on the bed after one of their lovemaking sessions. “I’m glad you’re okay, honey. Are Caleb and Vul on Haven now as well?”

“Yeah, Caleb is doing a pretty good job filling Kris’ shoes. Poor kid, when Zara and I decided to add the occasional bounty to our usual cargo run his little heart just couldn’t take it. Thanks for putting in a good word to get him that station maintenance position.”

“For you, darling. Anything.”

Mal laughed and relaxed back in the sheets. It had been a long couple of weeks, catching up to their deadlines with the cargo then picking up their first-ever bounty. Unlike Kris, the rest of the crew seemed to have enjoyed the adrenaline rush that came with her rescue. Vul, as it turned out, was actually female, and Zenk and she had barely ever been apart. This worked for Mal because she didn’t know how to service either of them, even if she wanted to. Though poor Raymond, whose bedroom backed onto theirs, constantly complained of the noises.

“I didn’t think Zenk could make any sounds except huffing and sighing. I guess I was wrong.” He moaned. Mal had promised to come visit him a few extra times to be as loud as they pleased to get revenge. In fact, that was where she was heading after Til’this and her were done.

“It’s certainly an exciting life you lead, darling. It’s completely out of this world.” The other Sedun smiled, gently stroking her hands down one of Mal’s tendrils.

“It certainly is.” Mal sighed happily, relaxing back into the touch.

This certainly wasn’t the direction she thought her life would take; that sad, boring human man seemed like a dream now. She was actually grateful for Murdeek and his sick punishment. Without it, she would never have found her inner confidence or lovers. She wasn't sure exactly what the future held now, but she did know whatever it was would be exciting, passionate and filled with love and laughter.

And she could live with that.
