Transparency report #4
Added 2025-02-24 20:28:05 +0000 UTCHey guys! Itโs 8.26PM and my brain is mush. ๐คช I wanted to finish the thing I was working on then report, but I am sticking to Monday transparency.
Last week I said I was waiting for feedback on that weekโs โTest 3โ, which had just dropped โ this was more of a hit and everybody seemed to like it. (ENF is popular with more than just Javier R it seems ๐)
I ended last weekโs report by saying I was going to try to streamline the design, which I felt wasnโt working in my test playthroughs (and was getting mixed feedback from testers). I did that, and have been working this week on:
Adding decision points that didnโt previously exist. These are crucial for making the game feel less like a slideshow and more like a game.
Based on tester feedback I rewrote an important NPC relationship, (basically to make him less of a dick, which was actually undermining the heroineโs likeability for being into such a douchebag).
Took out a sex scene that wasnโt really working, and replaced it with a totally new one.
Got partway through reintegrating a popular Lifepath scene I wanted to cut, but testers wanted me to keep; weโll see. ๐ง
Pushed this all out for testing and feedback.
Iโm working flat out ๐ฉ I need to crash now. Thanks everybody for the patience and support, Iโll get straight back on it in the morning. โค๏ธโ๐ฅ๐ฆ

At this rate, Five Eyes might not exist at all if things keep escalating o.O On the other hand... maybe it's time for a high placed enemy agent sub-plot. How high? Up to Crushstation to decide. The higher it gets, the more realistic it gets O.o

In other news: https://www.firstpost.com/world/top-white-house-official-wants-canada-out-of-five-eyes-experts-warn-move-could-hurt-us-13866668.html Usually I'm not one to ask to rush things, but when there's actually a non-zero chance that Canada is out of Five Eyes before the next update is out? It is kinda worrying.

2025-02-24 23:23:12 +0000 UTCAt the risk of making a game to "please everyone" but some people (me! me!) like when the main character falls for a douchebag. Maybe you can keep that in and have it only trigger if that's your character's kink?
