2023-08-01 00:18:20 +0000 UTCTYFC. It wasn't filler. And this is a book, not all chapters have a battle. Exposition is important and needed, even appreciated when not in excess. I think it's great that he has a healing spell now. Certainly good news for his survival. Doesn't help that her boss is going to have yet more ammunition to know some of his secrets.
