So I’ve been looking forward to this all day since it dropped and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Not that I’m surprised, LOL But really, this was another amazing audio! It was so soft and sweet and meaningful and heartfelt! It managed to tug at all the heartstrings in all the right ways, LOL. (Happy and sad tears both) It definitely lived up to its name as a comfort audio! I, like MANY others, adore this character, so it was so nice to see her again. And I love that her lullabies seem to be a trend now. I wasn’t kidding when I said I saw the “singing” tag and internally freaked out so hard that I immediately skipped to the ending juts to hear it. It was SO good! And it was even better the second time around LOL! It was nice and interesting to hear you use a higher range this time! Also, the binaural was NICE AS FUCK!!! I mean, it always is, but I feel like this one was extra good for some reason and I FUCKING LOVED IT!!! But looking at the actual content of the audio, it really was so sweet! I like how this character manages to balance fluff and humor/teasing/flirting with seriousness and vulnerability. And everything she said is stuff that SO many people need to hear. Like, I like that you had the speaker validate the listener’s concern and tell them that they can (and should) allow themself to feel the way they feel, but also keeping in mind that these negative thoughts aren’t necessarily true. I also really liked when she said “think of what YOU would say to ME if I was sad” bc that’s similar to what I do: I just see the negative bits of me as part of the larger whole, or I see them like cute things I gotta protect and look after. (Idea wasn’t mine, actually came from a Tumblr post!) So basically, don’t see them as ME and it’s all good, LOL!!! Side note, comfort audios like these are also great inspiration for OTP fanfic, LOL! So thank you, DA, for this incredible audio! It was lovely! And this is exactly why I think you’re such a great person, and why I was so eager to follow your work. You aren’t just talented or intelligent, you’re also incredibly kind, and your works have helped so many people. To me, THAT is truly what makes you such a role model and inspiration. Also, the “now come here and let me cuddle you, dammit.” made me laugh, LOL And although I do agree that we all need to be nicer to ourselves when we feel down, it just made me burst out laughing bc all I could think about was a meme I’d actually texted to some friends just earlier today: My therapist: You need to practice compassion for yourself. My brain: Yeah! You dumb bitch! Be nicer to yourself!
