Oh man listening to the Star Wars talk knowing they haven’t seen Rebels is so delicious. That and Clone Wars are probably the most important non movie stuff for this new set of SW series.

To infer from what they were saying: it's because the systems COULD BE a lot stronger, they could probably have both performance AND graphics, but the games still have to be "half-developed" for the previous gen, which has neither. Whereas they COULD be taking those resources and putting them all toward both.

I don’t understand why Alex and Vinny don’t like performance options in console games. Isn’t it nice to have options? And if Brad is right (which I don’t think he is) and devs go back to targeting 30fps, then I’m retiring from console gaming and going full PC. I just think the average gamer appreciates 60fps now and will demand it.
