2022-03-18 11:15:21 +0000 UTCI am a professional software developer. I can confirm for you Vinny, you're not wrong. Dates are awful to deal with in a system. Any developer who manages dates correctly only does so because they've all fallen into the same traps. If you have a release date, I would just do a quick hack, store the date as a timestamp for ordering purposes and then store an already-formatted display date for human readability. It's not awfully efficient to do it this way, but it would probably work out for your purposes.
