The Week That Was: 07/12/21-07/16/21
Added 2021-07-16 21:29:01 +0000 UTCHey Everyone!
We're now several weeks into this adventure, and we figured it might be time to start highlighting all the stuff we're making here on a week to week basis. So at the end of each week, we're gonna do a little wrap-up post so everyone has a handy dandy place to check everything out.
Before that, however, we also want to let you know that we will be doing our first Q&A with our patrons next Friday, July 23rd, at 5pm eastern time. We'll be taking your questions live through Discord's Stage feature, and then we'll be posting up the show as an archive for patrons here. So if you haven't already, make sure to get your questions ready. You can post them in our Patron Q&A Dropbox channel on our Discord.
And now, without further ado, the week that was!

Weekly Ramblecast 005: The Half-Twist McGillicuddy
Core crew members and above can listen to us rattle off different knots we are aware of, the merits of our various collections, and the demerits of US copyright law.

Here Decay, Gone Tomorrow: Episode 02
We continue our tour through the post-apocalypse of State of Decay 2, and Brad begins to develop some, let's say, troubling tendencies. Also shoutout to Nextlander community member RazgrizTwo for the sick poster for our new warlord!

Very Vinny Mornings: Boomerang X
Vinny checks out this recently released twitch-action game from Devolver, and raises the important point that this may be less a boomerang and more of a Krull glaive--which is itself MORE of a boomerang than an ACTUAL glaive, which is some kind of polearm. You get all that? Good.

The Nextlander Podcast: Episode 006
On this week's show, we talk Boomerang X and more Final Fantasy VII: Remake, loosely rank the Aliens films, don't even bother ranking the Jaws films, and try our best to understand the intricacies of the Japanese talent industry. Check it out here or wherever you get your podcasts!

Vinny Draws from Memory: Sonic and Tails
Mission Control members voted and they wanted to see what kind of Sonic and Tails would fall out of Vinny's brain. Subscribe at the Core Crew tier (and above) to find out what fell out!

FMVinny: The Daedalus Encounter Episode 02
We power our way through the rest of this--how do we put this gently--questionably designed FMV "classic" and discover that the real friends were the orbs we forgot to collect along the way.

The Fire Escape & Nextlander PAX Panel
We join our very good friends from the Fire Escape Cast to talk a little about our favorite PAX moments, as well as spending copious amounts of time questioning Dan's food choices. I do believe there will be other, more official archives of this panel going up later, but for now you can hit the above link to go straight to the Twitch archive.

Friday Nonsense: More Challenges in Scrap Mechanic (and a Little Bonus Boomerang X)
No helicopters this week, but Brad and Vinny continue to have GREAT and FLAWLESS ideas of how to make cars drive upside down. Plus Brad goes toe-to-toe with the final boss of Boomerang X! The official archive will be up on Saturday, but for now just check out the Twitch archive.
And that was the week! Hope you all enjoyed it, and as always, we can't thank you enough for your continued support. We can't say it enough, but we wouldn't be able to do any of this without you. Have a great weekend, and we'll see you next week on Nextlander!

I was very happy to see Daedelus Encounter. It's a game I was stuck with as a kid and had forgotten about.
2021-07-19 22:27:49 +0000 UTCAlex, Did you buy a ticket for AEW Dynamite at Arthur Ashe? I have tickets for All Out & hopefully soon Full Gear, if the world doesn’t collapse by then.

2021-07-17 10:17:16 +0000 UTCIt was briefly mentioned on the latest Scrap Mechanic stream, but I'd love to see you guys dip into Nuts and Bolt. Besiege has also added quite a bit of content since your last look at it. Thanks for another great week of #content

2021-07-16 22:00:06 +0000 UTCI really like this format for a weekly content check in. This will make it much easier to filter what I would like to engage with, given time constraints. Nextlander is off to a heck of a great start, thanks for the awesome work!
2021-07-16 21:40:36 +0000 UTCSweet! Thanks for making this. With how scattered some of the content it, I have a hard time tracking what I've missed later in the week when trying to catch up, so this helps a bunch
