Weekly Ramblecast 007: Hunky Annoying Paul Rudd

There's all kinds of stuff on our minds this week: that new Ghostbusters trailer, the elusive post-scarcity future, the Ryu number, Mass Effect's vision of humanity's place in the stars, how to social-engineer your children, the joy of skillfully splitting wood, and more. I worked for a guy who owned a second company that did cryonics. The company I worked for shared a building with the storage facility. I remember at one of our company potlucks someone at the table asked the owner how the cryonics stuff was going. He said, "slowly".

A housekeeper we had used to bring by Disney VHS tapes and I just assumed all the Disney movies came out when I saw them on video. It wasn’t until later in life that I realized Sword in the stone, lady and the tramp, jungle book, or basically anything before 1988 were sometimes made decades before I first saw them.

These show notes are hilarious and amazing.

Multiple screens are an opportunity for collaboration! Especially for games like Roblox and Minecraft. My three kids each have a computer (sometime a Switch is involved) in our office/classroom and it's amplified their creativity. In Minecraft they take turns in a VR headset as the "security guard" while the others try to jump scare him as animatronics in their FNAF knockoff. It helps that their interests are almost a perfect circle, but they had an idea and ran with it.

Alex talked about fat bong rips as i took a fat bong rip. ..... meta.

FYI, the big white VHS boxes are called clamshells. They melt in a hot car like butter. They're worth more than the typical VHS tape but not much more. Not valuable for sure. Also Vinny, if you recall enjoying Black Cauldron, do not watch it again. Eek. It's bad. It was Disney's big 80s bomb, and it nearly put them off animated features it did so bad!

These timestamp show notes are amazing, please never stop.
