The Nextlander Watchcast 015: Prince of Darkness (1987)

On this week's Watchcast we take on the John Carpenter film voted on by our patrons, the second film in the director's loose Apocalypse Trilogy, Prince of Darkness. Join us as we watch a bunch of ill-equipped graduate students fall victim to the incredible powers of a liquefied Satan!

Comments

I watched this just recently because of this podcast, as it was readily available on Peacock and I wanted to be prepared. It definitely has some weird and spooky ideas to it, but definitely could have been tighter.

Saw this a long time ago and haven't felt the need to rewatch it either, even though it's not a bad movie. In The Mouth of Madness I *do* feel like rewatching though and I've seen it several times. One of those times when I wish you'd also do a commentary track, just to hear Brand and Vinny react to everything for the first time.
