Watchcast Schedule for November 2022

Greetings Watchcasters! I realize we're already a week into November and our first Watchcast of the month is already up, but given that we've got a whole grip of Star Trek episodes to work through this month, I figured it'd still be helpful to all of you to know exactly which ones we're watching. So! Here's every episode we've got coming for you this November.

November 7th: The Conscience of the King and Balance of Terror

The Conscience of the King: Kirk is one of the last survivors who can identify a mass killer, who lurks among a Shakespearean troupe aboard the Enterprise.

Balance of Terror: Kirk pits the Enterprise against an invisible spaceship testing the Federation's defenses. Our very first appearance of the Romulans, and an absolutely kick-ass episode.

November 14th: Shore Leave and The Galileo Seven

Shore Leave: The Enterprise crew take shore leave on a peaceful, pastoral planet... where their dreams and fantasies come to life.

The Galileo Seven: Spock commands a stranded away team when their shuttlecraft is stranded on a planet with hostile natives (who look like big hairy guys in fur coats).

November 21st: The Squire of Gothos and Arena

The Squire of Gothos: The Enterprise finds itself at the mercy of a seemingly omnipotent being who fancies himself an 18th century Englishman. You know, as omnipotent beings are wont to do.

Arena: When a mysterious alien race destroy an Earth colony, the Enterprise pursues, but Kirk and the alien captain are forced to fight each other by (other) powerful aliens. Our first Gorn appearance!

November 28th: Tomorrow Is Yesterday, and Court Martial

Tomorrow Is Yesterday: The Enterprise collides with a black hole and is thrown back to Earth in the 20th century, where they must find a way back and erase any trace  of their presence. Matters become complicated when they rescue an Air Force pilot and cannot return him without changing history... but if he  disappears that will change history as well. This is the episode that was supposed to be the second part to The Naked Time, but got spun out into its own thing.

Court Martial: Captain Kirk's career is at stake when he is put on trial for the loss of a crewman during an ion storm.

And that is our month! In December we'll return to our alternating schedule between movies and Star Trek, and we will be watching Bram Stoker's Dracula that month!
