You can buy some series on Amazon. I recently bought Wolf Hall for $10 using credit I had earned by not getting some of my Amazon parcels delivered right away.

I believe the ‘TV Pass’ is the British TV License, which is more or less a tax to receive any broadcast. It was built off the Radio License in the Wireless Telegraph Act in the 1920’s. More or less it is there to fund the BBC. Anyhow, it makes watching any British programming outside the Isles a pain. Usually you have to sail the high seas to watch their more obscure stuff, but sometimes they’ll partner with someone to bring their more popular shows to foreign audiences.
