They are shockingly good. The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse CG show is also enormously popular with small children.

Star Trek: Beyond was after Nimoy passed away and there was a short blurb to young Spock that old Spock died. There was a sad scene and then promptly moved on. The only other thing I recall of it is it has an explicit Star Trek Enterprise callback, which I found interesting given how many view that series negatively, and the Enterprise surfing an explosion while blasting Beastie Boys.

The new Mickey shorts in the old style have been VERY popular. They even used the new style to launch a new centerpiece attraction at Hollywood Studios in Florida (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/hollywood-studios/mickey-minnies-runaway-railway/).
