The Three Body Problem (and its two sequels) is not very good literature, but it's pretty awesome as a wild collection of vaguely plausible scientific ideas. Definitely the kind of sci-fi you tear through just because you want to see what crazy shit it throws at you next.

The Gerald's Game movie from a few years ago was fantastic. Also I watched Maximum Overdrive and Christine in October and they're both a lot of fun.
