Schedule for the Week of 11/13/2023

Well, my son finally asked the question... “Can we play Satisfactory together?” It’s weird having kids that are now old enough to make some serious decisions on how they want to spend their gaming time. My kids don’t have dedicated gaming PCs and I’ve tried to avoid thinking about re-buying a bunch of games to play multiplayer with them but it feels like it’s getting closer. The furthest I’ve gone is that I made a second gaming machine from some spare parts, made a steam account for the family, and did family sharing on it for them. Luckily, for Satisfactory, I own it on the Epic Store and so I bought it on the Steam store on my own account and family shared it for him. My son then used the Steam Link app on one of our old laptops we own and we spent the weekend building away. It worked just fine, but I’m not sure where this all leads. Desktops in the bedroom? Shared family PC somewhere in the poop basement? VMs with terminals throughout the house? It’s all very exciting, and on top of that, we had a blast playing Satisfactory!

Anyway, the schedule this week! We’ve got the return of The Watchcast with Ninja Terminator, a terrible movie but a really fun time! On Monday we’re getting a back to Remnant II, and it sounds like we’re nearing the end of our run! On Thursday we’re looking to scoop up some of the miscellaneous games we’ve playing and Alex and I were talking about maybe getting some Mario Kart together for Friday since that last Booster Course Pass is out. TBD on that one. Of course, we’ll have the Ramblecast, the Podcast, and this month’s Never Been a Better Podcast with Abby and Bakalar where Bakalar goes deep into Wheel of Fortune! Come join us.
