I believe Joan Chen was diplomatic about why she wanted out; I remember at some point she expressed frustration with being typecast in "concubine" roles and Western stereotypes of Asian beauty. The drawer pull also feels like the ultimate example of "someone doing a bad cover of David Lynch"

I'm sad that Windom Earle apparently sucks. I remember really liking his character, so I didn't suffer through season 2 because of it. But it's been over a decade so maybe they're right.

I will happily take people's souls getting sucked into random furniture. Much more the brand of stupid I was sold on in the beginning. Maybe Josie's soul can talk to log lady's log now? Let's have an adventure in the wood dimension! Turn James into a spoon!
