Schedule for the Week of 03/18/2024

This weekend I asked my son and daughter to put together a list of games they would like to see or check out. Whether it’s something I’ve mentioned, their friends talked about, or they had just seen we compiled a fairly decent working list of games. While we didn’t get to everything, we had things from Undertale to Doom, Pizza Tower to Castlevania, and even Dragon’s Lair. I have to say, it was pretty fun comparing what the game actually was to what they had in their minds. Even I had wound up spending way too much time in Forager, which I don’t think I’ve ever played, and didn’t get to things like F1 22 or Robotron (Robotron 2040 as they wrote it). Would love to run that little exercise again in a few months or a year. You can hear me talk all about it on this week’s Ramblecast.

Speaking of GAMES, this week has some anticipated new releases including Dragon’s Dogma 2, Princess Peach: Showtime, and Rise of the Ronin. All of those are officially releasing on Friday, the same day Alex and I will be on a train for PAX East. We’ll have some coverage of at least some of them, but probably more next week. On Monday, I’m excited to get back to the Cyberpunk’s Phantom Liberty DLC with Alex and push that story forward! On Wednesday, Brad and I are getting together to check out one of the new releases from this week, though we can’t say which one it is yet… On Friday, Brad will be controlling the horizontal AND the vertical as he holds things down with a solo stream. On the podcast side, we’ve got The Phantom over on the Watchcast, along with our regularly scheduled Ramblecast and Podcast. If you happen to be heading to PAX East this weekend, come say “Hi” during our Beastcast Reunion Panel on Saturday at 3PM Eastern in the Condor Theatre!
