First look at the June 2021 Release!

Good evening guys! πŸŽ‰

Today we can finally show you the first look at the June 2021 Release, the first month of the Second Season we announced the past week! If you missed the post, here you have it.

You already know the armies, you know the factions... It is time to meet the miniatures!

The June 2021 Release will be composed of:

We'll make an extended post for each unit in the next few days!

For the next months we'll continue with the polls system to decide the direction of this Patreon, but more focused on the lore instead of a simple question about what miniatures  you want to see!

We want to announce also the upcoming opening of the Discord server for everyone who wants to help us develop the lore of this universe and much more!

So, to summarize, eighteen amazing miniatures will be burning our printers in June! (Yes... the biggest release we've ever made... we have no life πŸ˜‚)

Have a great weekend guys!

We read you, ❀️

I am a huge fan of full plate and like some of these models xxx

I'm not that sophisticated. I love the chaotic warriors! And I hope to see more high fantasy armies in the future :)

Niels Kristensen

Don't misunderstand me, the Chaos style figures are great and will have some use for me as well, but they just seem out of place in this new vision of an early Renaissance setting, and it seems a shame to make them part of this "new" world when they really don't fit in. Your project seemed more sophsiticated than Warhammer originally was, by actually setting a specific historical era for this fantasy world, whereas theirs's was rather absurd, with no explanation why there would be two Western European themed cultures/factions, but with one being two or three centuries more advanced! Really looking forward seeing Cossacks, Winged Hussars, etc. but why no 'fantasy foes' that actually resemble the historical foes of they cultures. How can there be Polish winged hussars and Germanic Imperial Landknechts, without a fantasy foe based on the Ottoman Empire which was the greatest threat to these real cultures? The unending invasions of Europe by the Ottomans makes me think a faction based on, an resembling them would be the true "Chaos" forces of your early Renaissance setting, so it would have been great to see an Army based on them. Who else should Polish Winged Hussars and Imperial Landsknechts fight -- silly things like vampires or undead Egyptian mummies?

Daniel Peterson

Love the look of those pikemen, can't wait to print me a regiment! You inspired me to write for the world of the Empire, so I sent you guys a DM with some lore I've written. Let me know what you think! Update: since Highlands Miniatures approved of my article, I'll share it here and will share it on the Discord when it goes live: https://www.worldanvil.com/w/adhonaglamar-errandir/a/the-wittenberg-musketeers-formation

Just a thought about the warrior army: I find it really hard to find good chariots. It would be very awesome to see. Maybe both pulled by horses and monstrous creatures of some kind :)

Niels Kristensen

That will be awesome!!! Thank you.

Thank you so much Mark! One of our goals for this new season is to bring more diversity to our armies, either as races and gender. We'll try to implement this idea for the next units! :)

Highlands_Miniatures

These are exactly what I needed! Thank you. Would it be possible for some female soldiers? I don’t mean the over the sexualised pin up models we get bombarded with from most patreons, but females dressed like the men. I like the idea of mixed units.

Thank you Ben! We can't wait too! :)

Highlands_Miniatures

Thank you very much Will! <3

Highlands_Miniatures

Thank you so much Jason!! We'll have two factions that will fit in the barbarian style, the Lost Tribe of Novgorod and the Tribes of HardrΓ₯ (northern vikings) :)

Highlands_Miniatures

Hi Carlos! One of the Imperial Districts of the Empire of Sun is Volhynia. Volhyinia will be based on Poland along the 15th / 16th century, with winged hussars, cossacks and much more! You can read all the information about the new armies and their factions here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/51372541

Thank you so much Karsten! :)

Highlands_Miniatures

When I read Novgorod I thought about Kislev. Any plan for Cossack/ 16th century Russian material?

Impressive.

Karsten Krahe

In some ways I agree. If you want to develop your own world, ditch the GW Chaos Warriors.

Jon Letham

I really like the Germanic/Sunland Imperial troops so far, and from the look of them they seem to be more proportioned like normal humans and not as "squatty and dwarvish" as the original GW/Warhammer ones. I hope we will see a bit more variation in the headgear as well, and some round buckler type shields. I am a bit dissappointed though that the "Novgorod" Barbarians don't have any attributes of actual Russian forces of the same early 16th century period of the Imperials, but instead just seem to be well sculpted, but very generic type dismounted GW "Chaos Knights". To me, "Novgorod" conjures up image of big men in furs with a lot of big axes and Eastern European conical helmets and lamellar armor -- and NOT "typical fantasy baddies bedecked in over-the-top, fairly impractical "evil armor" covered in skulls. These will be great for typical high fantasy evil factions, but do not seem part of this world at all.

Daniel Peterson

These look fantastic. I'm very excited to see how these armies develop in the future.... Especially the cavalry regiments!

Will Reynolds

Ok, the Barbarians are looking better then they did in the teaser good work. My only critique is your shields all seem to be a bit thick. Can probably reduce that thickness with no negative IMO.

Jon Letham

Oh man, the old world has returned in full force. Can't wait to print these.

Ben Twineham

This is amazing. I need them so bad. I am so excited to start my barbarian warband.

<3 Thanks guys!
