Project X: Looking for suggestions!

Hi guys! ⚔️⚔️

Hope you all stay safe and well! Christmas is around the corner and we're working hard to give you an incredible January Release! Btw, we've almost finished your gift for this Christmas ... Do you want to know what it is or do you prefer to wait till Santa arrives like good kids? :D

As you can see in the title of the post, we're going to start working more seriously in our FIRST KICKSTARTER (yaaay, but we don't even have a name for it so...) and we would like that all of you take part on this new project. That's why we're asking you for suggestions and opinion guys :)

A few of you already know something about the Kickstarter (theme) but many of you don't so here we go: 🥁🥁🥁🥁(drumroll)

The Kickstarter story will be based on a kingdom besieged by evil forces. The story will take place in the capital of this kingdom, an ancient fortress full of life and prosperity, now devastated by a great cataclysm that turned its villagers into ... undead.
However, some brave knights are decided to restore the city to its former glory and destroy the fearsome evil creatures.

Sounds appetizing huh? We keep telling you! 😍

The main idea of

the Kickstarter is to complement the two armies that we have been creating during these months: The Medieval Kingdom and the Undead Army.

This project will have two parts: one part focused on terrains for FDM printers and the other part focused on miniatures (hero characters and special miniatures) for SLA printers.

For the fortress we have many ideas in mind, many of them coming from The Witcher III, World of Warcraft, etc. For the miniatures, we would like to create numerous heroes and monsters to complete both armies, cool and feared characters and other special elements, based on historical and fantasy characters, ready to top your army lists.

What would you like to see as a characters? What would you like to add into the city?

We always hear you and looking for your feedback!

Project X: Looking for suggestions!

Slice the terrain in pieces so it can be printed in resin?

Glitterwolf

For the Undead Theme: How about an skeleton giant where his chest is a cage with an prisoner? Also it would be nice to see a vamp during transformation into a giant bat. Or a vampire burning, with many pegs in his body. Vampire manifesting during a batswarm True undead wolves rotten or transformed into vampwolves ? :D Skeletal gryph, bear or other fablebeeings Reaperlike ghosts with oillamps, bells or shovels .

Niiice !! Will we be able to back just miniature and not terrains ? For us merchant will we be able to sell them too as long as we stay patrons ?

MinionMancer

I like the idea of Greek mythology creatures. Satyrs, Harpies, Mermaid horses etc.

Charles Jordan

For medieval army: ogres/half ogres, a big 'tank' option. Knights with unique armour like spikes or built on weapons. For undead army: frankenstein's monster style stitched together monsters.

Richard Smeeton

Living and undead knights of the same religious order, both mounted and afoot. So that the living knights must battle those that were once their brothers in arms. Maybe two versions of their chapter house, as well - fallen and redeemed.

Dennis O'Brien

A ghost army would obviously be awesome.

an army of Ghosts

Lilian

keeping the enders calibrated i found was literally just a case of changing the bolts and springs to be tighter and then neverrrr touching them again, i got 4 months between levels and calibration issues

Will you be able to make the scenery optimised for Saturn/E10/MonoX printers? I love to print scenery but I dislike FDM printing because I can never get my Ender 5+'s to stay calibrated for long lol

Also Ghouls and a Flesh Golem, a Necromancer for the undead. Bloated Zombies for them also. A Human Hero on a Drake steed. An ancient stag god that is a sign of hope for the Humans. A series of Conquistadors that have various armaments (Crossbows, Harquebuses, Halberds, and so on). A Vampire Captain undead hero riding a undead horse and on foot.

Nathan Jensen

A unit/hero based off Immortals from 300 and Persian history might be a great "Vampire" unit. A on Foot and on some form of cavalry for a captain female. A Boudica like Celt queen, and barbarian allies. A Undead brute (large brutish giants, a Cyclops or so on wielding a great axe). A dracolich or undead guardian drakes.

Nathan Jensen

Well if you need some ideas what to create next for those armies just check couple of fantasy games. Like Kings of War, warhammer 9th age(just oldhammer) or something like that. For example in KoW there is an unit of werewolves in undead army. You can do some variation of this. Or mummies, which are IMO not fluff friendly for vampire army, and make them something cool but close to the idea/stats

Kacper Szczytowski

So, I've been doing a good bit of brainstorming and I think I found your perfect solution! Since you mentioned "World of Warcraft," I think the Scarlet Monastery would be a really awesome scene. IT FITS SO MANY WAYS! -A human-monastery in undead lands, so it fits the theme of human/undead. -Scarlet Monastery has a graveyard, so your Halloween models would fit in perfectly. -Scarlet Monetary has a lot of unique characters that would be interesting to see your take on (BloodMage Thalnos [undead magic user], Fallen Champion [undead champion], Ironspine [Undead Warrior], Arcanist Doan [Human, Arcane user who believes arcane is the way to end all undead], Herod the Scarlet Champion [Human warrior], Scarlet Commander Mograine (Human Commander), HIGH INQUISITOR WHITEMANE [female priestess of light], High Inquisitor Fairbanks [Undead Mage]. -It also has a cathedral, which a lot of people have been asking for. It also have priests/nuns which a lot of people have been asking for. -It provides a setting for a ruined undead castle as the RUINS OF LORDAERON (populated by undead) is a walking distance away from Scarlet Monastery. -Better yet, it works with ALMOST ALL of the suggestions already done. Personally, if I was to do what you are talking about, I would most certainly do the Scarlet Monastery and Ruins of Lordaeron, if I could only do one it would be Scarlet Monastery. Speaking of nuns! You did a really good job with females this month and I would love to see more. Being that your models are a mix of human and undead, I think magic would be appropriate. Probably not troops, but maybe spellsword characters and commanders that are magic-based. Hopefully you are having a good day, have a great rest of your week! Edit: Thought I'd provide the flavor text: "The Monastery was once a proud bastion of Lordaeron's priesthood - a center for learning and enlightenment. With the rise of the undead Scourge during the Third War, the peaceful Monastery was converted into a stronghold of the fanatical Scarlet Crusade. The Crusaders are intolerant of all non-human races, regardless of alliance or affiliation. They believe that any and all outsiders are potential carriers of the undead plague - and must be destroyed. Reports indicate that adventurers who enter the monastery are forced to contend with Scarlet Commander Mograine - who commands a large garrison of fanatically devoted warriors. However, the monastery's true master is High Inquisitor Whitemane - a fearsome priestess who possesses the ability to resurrect fallen warriors to do battle in her name."

Gryphons! Many miniature games use "creatures / monsters" as a part of your warband. Gryphons would go well with the Kingdom models and perhaps Giant skeleton for the Undead.

TheBoardNerd

Samurai and ninja characters plz!!

hey there, new patron here :D the female knigths got he here and now I am curious for more! As a suggestion for Characters: Can you do some casters / priests? maybe the undead have some "living" necromancers, or deathrpriests? If we think more along the lines of D&D... Also I would like to see some less "dwarven" Dwarfs - so less stereotypical, more medieval like dwarves with Siege Engines, Crossbolts, Muskets, Chariots, Pikemen/Halbards... stuff like that!

Jan Schlegel

yeah i also would like to have more undead/skeleton themed units, then Bretonia/grail/Arthurian themed. Please don't do terrain stuff there is a ton of others systems out there. What you can do is props that can be used in any system. There is a ton of "fantasy" stuff, but a few with proper dimensioned minis like yours.

Jonatan Lumberjack

alot of people are mentioning things that seem a bit too...."empire". Would prefer to stay on the Bretonnia/grail/Arthurian vibe. Thats just me tho!

fox pals

Sorry my English is not so good but I'll give it a try. Undead Wolves Werewolves, with lots of muscles and as big as ogres Skeletons with crossbows Bats in a swarm Bats so big you can ride on them Ghosts Humans Angels in heavy armour Bows/swords Shields Bears with riders Elementals fire, water, earth, air Priests I hope you could understand me

Yeah seconded for the zombie dragon, didn't think of that.

☝️☝️ this!

Tucker Loper

A good corpse cart proxy would be amazing

Tucker Loper

We definitely need a zombie dragon/giant bat with an option of Necromancer, Vampire Knight and Ghoul King option. Well sculpted bat swarms, vargheists, etc For humans - foot knights with different extravagant helmets, maybe more specialty knights like the green knight just for fun, demigryphs, landsnechts, etc. So many options to choose!

Tucker Loper

A nice male sculpt female for each dnd class that matches your art style/with military uniforms would be awesome. For characters designed to have kingdom soldier backstories

preston neill

A nice Bell Tower for terrain maybe even a cathedral for the lady knights, and a corpse thrower/cow thrower for the undead, could make it an alternate arm for your medival trebuchet youve already made. I like the idea of some large gargoyles and Hounds (live & undead)

Kealin .

Death Knights, or otherwise evil/undead knight figures to lead the horde. Hard to run an army without some hero figures on either side. Something more menacing and intelligent looking than the blackwatch unit figures.

Α market place with various stands and merchants

Your sculpts are amazing so whatever new goodies you wish to grace us with are good, Maybe some specific scenarios and objectives written by you to go with terrain or specific characters. E.g "the necromancer's ritual" Unread player must place an unread totem on each objective and then successfully cast 'insert spell name' 7+ cast value to turn the whole village undead. Human player must counter these objectives by "blessing" each objective. Ect ect. Edit : would love to see more vampire characters and foot knights

Warrior Nuns/Monks, Corpse Cart, Dire Wolves

Michael Peterson

A zombie hulk and a retinue of Deamon/Witch hunter!

Adam

Oh, and a king! Dont forget to include a king, no capital under siege can be without a king. Great objective for all kinds of missions!

Alexander

My vote goes to corpses too. You have to set the stage and you need corpses for that. Since you cant only have corpses in your kickstarter I think it was an excellent suggestion to make living and corpse versions of the models.

Alexander

also what NOT to forget: dead corpses. there are so many miniatures/characters but so less dead bodys. ((and laying bodies should also be no problem for FDM > win win :D ))

I agree with all these ideas. My piece of advice would be to stick to one theme per side on this kickstarter. Like peasant mob and pious characters against "wet" undeads like zombies rotting hounds..

Character on Corpse cart, like a necromancer. Mounted warrior priest/priestess.

Zombie, bat, ghoule, giant bat with or dito ut rider. All entrance for 9th âge for vampire covenant. Regarding Terrain, to Be able to build catacombe and cimetery with acces from down to up.

i would love to see some 6th edition style vampire characters for the undead. a figure or two from each of the 5 bloodlines would be awesome (blood dragon, lahmian, necrach, strigoi and von carstein)

the ayatollah of rocknrolla

Cemetery stuff sounds good. Maybe it's time to introduce some demons into the mix? Whose raising all these undead armies anyway?!?! (queue spooky demon music)

Jason Knudsen

Green knight is already a loyalty reward for their patreon (and it is fantastic model)

Leonard Turčan

Suggestion for name Battle for Albieo: Undead menace. Both factions could use warhounds (hellhounds, undead wolfs and wolfhounds sound terrific) Undead: Heroes: + Puppeteer - necromancer controling undead children on strings + Soul devourer - tall slender humanoid figure with clawslike fimgers holding soldier in one hand and tearing away his soul to devour it with another. + Vampire aristocracy - man and woman (or whatever you want as lovers) on one base in elegant dance with weapons covered in blood, and whirlpool of blood in spiral around them starting at the base and supported with chopped of heads. + stitch monster - basically Frankensteins monster or gatekeeper from TES 4 Oblivion's Shivering Isles dlc. + bone golem Units: zombies, drowned, ghouls, gargoyles, giant dripping or spiky spiders, bats, as mentioned above death hounds, hellhounds, skeletons built wrongly just for fun, and to give the bone golem some friends (or spare parts to any skeleton needing them, or they could carry poison, explosives or ammo) Any and all kinds of ghosts wraiths etc. heroes and units Wild hunt Human heroes: + witch-hunter (all I want is pilgrims hat and crossbow) + brew bearer - stout man hulking giant barrel of refreshments + priest of holy flame - shorter slouchy man, barechested, whiping himself (flagellanant hero) breathing out flaming fenix + Griffin knight with lance + medical chariot Units: + Peasants & militia (everybody tries to slow down marching of the dead) - armed with rakes, sticks, brooms, scythes and that things you beat oats and with + Flagellants or other zealots + hounds and huntmasters (who's the good boy? Now bring me some bone) (only dogs I want as allergic) + light cavalery Terrain casualties on both sides, single bodies and piles Trees Edit: I hope there will be a late pledge option, not stocked with money right now. Edit2: keep it for Christmas eve, I like to be suprised but I have too keen eyes

Leonard Turčan

ghouls, ghouls everywhere :D

unkind1212

A graveyard, with mausoleum, full of tombs and statues, crypts, dead tree, ancient temple. Big gate and bridge full of skulls. Big night creature, like zombi dragon or abomination. A nice banner for the undead army

General type man with a very fancy hat. The bigger the hat the better with inspiration from warhammer fantasy empire soldiers and real life landsknecht. The recent lady warriors gave off more of a cleric vibe and your footman unit bannerman both allude to religion that we can see more of in the future either in fanatic people or holy warriors of sorts. For undead I think Pious Augustus the skeleton lich from Eternal Darkness looks really cool and fits in with some of y'all's current skeleton armor in a roman sort of way.

Kroq-Gar

Firstly - Wait for Christmas for the present announcement! :D Secondly - big fan of the Diablo series, keen to see some things inspired from that, especially Diablo 1 as that seems to fit this theme you're going for better, with a town brought to ruin by an invading demon/undead army Would love to see your take on the Skeleton King Leoric For scenery - ruined/damaged buildings are key! having big ruined buildings makes for much easier use on the tabletop (for me anyway) as models can easily move between levels, see and be seen from all around without needing to take roofs/levels off - also the larger the doors/archways the better, I think being able to fit a 32mm base through a door/archway is ideal (I know it can be scaled, but being cut to be printed with these sizes is great - dark realms does amazing work with ruined buildings)

Mini Manatee

Oooooh I'd go for some uncanny/not-what-you-would-expect band of witches and/or banshees, tough and terrifying. The knights might need their darker side revealed... relying on mercenaries, poachers, criminals and all around scum. Can't wait to see what you'll go for!

Miniatures: Normal human soldiers, like swordfighters, spearmen, etc. but very battleworn because of the ongoing struggle. Some flagellants or other religious zealots. Casualties

Big bad necromaner (think Drachnifels) and I know I'm being obvious but for the good guys 'n'gals I'd love to see your take on the Green Knight. Or even various heroes based on colours/elements red knight (fire) black knight (shadow but good!) etc

fox pals

Dragón zombie, carruaje negro, hordas de fantasmas, murciélagos, perros espectrales, ballestas gigantes, bandidos que arriman el hombro, portastandartes a pie y a caballo, murciélago gigante

Manel Figueras

I would love to see some peasant Heroes! Just because everybody knows that knights are great but you cant defeat a whole city with only 50 knigts. You will need peasants and there you need some realy nice hero. - some sort of Bannerman who will perfectly fit into the normal peasants but carrys a nice banner - a fat mead brewing monk who is berserking

I love the scene before the battle of Winterfell in GoT when the main characters are preparing for the worst, and the Podrick's song is in the background (Jenny of Oldstones). It would be great to built a diorama that reflects these emotions and atmosphere.

Zombie dragon, haunted house, badass undead lord (large scale), ghosts, wraiths, ghouls

Para no muertos estaria bien un carruaje de huesos un dragon zombie o de huesos un comandante liche espiritus, momias o un heraldo nagash

I'd like to see a character like 'The Butcher' from the first Diablo.

Edelweiss

Terrain: - Guild Hall with an underground Thieve's Guild below, and a dungeon below that! - A modular tavern (maybe three main sections and one has two or three floors) so we can have a small, medium, and large tavern, based on what the adventure/scene calls for. Don't overly modularize it though. Think "slap down scene". - Trees (deciduous, coniferous, dead, and deadfalls) are always good. More tree variants = better tabletop forest scenes. - larger rocky terrain and/or rough hills. - Ramparts that have playable towers and top bridge areas with crenellations for archers and burning oil. - Wizards Tower with some serious energy/electricity around the outer walls (as if enchanted or similar). - big Mausoleum environment, or a graveyard with a few large tombs and then a set of crypt dungeon tiles below. - smaller playable bridges that are practical for tabletop games - where you might have some TROLLS waiting underneath. One cannot have too many trolls. Minis: - well... Trolls. Undead Trolls too. - A whole set of wizards, sorcerers, warlocks, all casting various spells, etc. - Ghouls and Ghasts. - Wraiths and Spectres. - Ghosts and Shadows and Banshees. - Zombies and other undead. - A couple of crazy boss Liches that run the show. Maybe brother and sister?! - Coven of Night Hags. Plus big bad cauldron. - Dire beasts of all sorts. - More varieties of skeletons (ogre, orc, goblin, dragon?!, beats, etc.). - Heroes: paladins, rangers, mages, clerics, rogues, barbarians, typical fighters, bards, etc. Male and female. Scatter/Other: - Wagons of several types (for villagers, merchants, hunters, guards, etc.). - Siege equipment (ballista, trebuchet, mobile towers, cauldrons - for burning oil, traps, etc.). - Braziers, campfires, and bonfires. Oh yeah, and you need a big bad Necromancer (or council of Necromancers) who runs the show. The Order of the Black Cloak... ;) This is off the top of my head... dreaming. Man there's so much you could do.

Alex A

nighthaunts/spirits banshees and ghouls , :)

Lilian

Military campaign items tents, covered wagons stockade defenses, camp scatter (fires crates weapons) possibly brazzers maybe standing torches

I totally second the living and undead version of main story line characters. I would love to see your take on some “wet” undead; zombies, zombie trolls, and a zombie giant or ogre. I’d also like to see some bad ass intimidating female villains in the theme of your armored female Paladins; more badass than lascivious. Flying mounts for those vampire knights?

Paul Goodwin

Victims!! I want heroes to walk into an Area and see dead/dying bodies of townsfolk, some sprawled on the ground face down/face up, some proped against walls... set the scene

ResinandFilament

Varghulfs! Vampire Knights on foot! Hippogryph Knights! Grail Reliquaries!

Nikola Rusan

I would love to see a large Congress/house of lords style building but that might be too far out of scope :) more siege/defense weapon options and boss units :) maybe a discounted add on feature to pick up any pieces we missed.

preston neill

Ooooo so many ideas! I shall write a list!

Phil Walling

just. give me undeads man. cool undeads are always welcome in my book. also. maby make some heroes and dead versions of them ressurected. that would be so cool to have a before and after. the legend and their fall
