February 2023 Preview: the Dwarf Flying Machines!

Good evening guys!

Today we have the great pleasure to show you our last miniatures, the Dwarf Flying Machines!

It has been a truly challenging miniature to create as we had to design a somehow advanced technological miniature that suits the norse aesthetic of the Sons of Ymir. We had to think like a proper dwarf.

What kind of shape should we looking for? How the Flying Machine will be powered? How it will be drived by the Sons of Ymir?

After consulting a couple of Dwarf Engineers we came with a proper norse solution. We adapted the design of the classic dwarf norse ship -aslo known as drakkars- and a steam powered engine with two alternative options: helix or balloon... and we totally like it!

In the first build you can see above, the Dwarf Flying Machine comes in its bomber version, with a long tail fully packed with bombs and a second dwarf pilot dropping the bombs by hand.

Below you can see the alternative build of the Dwarf Fying Machine with a smaller tail. You can also change the default steam rotative engine for a balloon.

Both builds share the same Dwarf Flying Machine body with a big firespitter gun.

I know you will be wondering right now how are you going to assemble the dwarf flying machines right? Here you have a detailed picture of how the files will be delivered. The attachment areas will have holes for 2x1mm round magnets for the people who don't want to glue the detachable pieces together.

Remember guys, the February 2023 Release will be composed of:

i am a little curious about the rope supports as well, how would one land the chopper without the chopper blades dropping onto the pilots head? If there's a logical explanation I'm curious, if not, maybe I'll paint them as metal cables?
