Netorase Phone version 0.10: Self-confidence

This version adds Act VIII, made up of chapters 21 to 23. While Chapter 23 is quite small, Chapters 21 and 22 make up for it by being both longer than any other chapter. Act VIII is 65% longer than Act VII, which was previously the largest one. And while it has a bit less pictures, I think you'll enjoy its story, and what it opens for the future.
I've also tried to make this version more Android-friendly, because many people seem to have an issue launching the game on their phones. Sadly, because Unity doesn't write a log on Android, and because I can't test it properly myself, I'll have to move blindly there. I apologize to Android players.
I hope you'll have fun and, as always, I welcome your feedback in the comments, or on Discord.

- Made the game loop run 5 times per second instead of every frame, which should improve performances.
- Added a delay before the game starts sending messages (15s, or until you open an app), to potentially correct a crash happening on launch on Android versions.

- Spacebar doesn't allow to answer in chat anymore.
- Fast Forward can now be toggled with F on PC, holding Shift, or using a button on the bottom of chat windows.
Issues corrections:
- Analytics are now enable by default for Android versions, in order to better identify specific issues on this platform.
- Corrected an issue with some decisions not being saved properly.
- Corrected an issue making a few player prompts sent without the player clicking them.
- Notifications will now fade on top of moving, to make sure they won't block parts on the screen on Android.
- Corrected an issue making an interlude trigger twice.
What's next?
Version 0.11 will release on October 1st, and should include Act IX, and maybe a few other things that I'm not going to reveal yet. ;)

This game is definitely going to have more bulls, he has said so since the beginning. I hope it will be optional to remove all bulls you don't like, but who knows? I doubt it will be avoidable to have them at all.

Personally I'd prefer if it was just MC/Laura/Nathan and no other guys, though I may have unusual tastes compared to the usual audience for these sorts of games as I "self-insert" as the other guy (so in this case Nathan). It's unfortunate because I recently became a backer and the first patch adds a bunch of unavoidable content that makes me like the game less.

2024-09-14 01:26:27 +0000 UTCFinally had some time to play through the new update. Played both the Dom and Balanced routes and like the slight differences between those. As others have stated, Oliver is not the type of guy I'd like to have involved irl, but makes sense. As Laura gets bolder, she's going to leave a different impression on other guys she hooks up with and obviously not everyone is going to act the same as Nathan. So being able to be stern with him with how he talks and potentially removing him (if desired) is nice to keep open. While I haven’t played the sub route, I think he fits that perfectly and even fits a good archetype for all routes if he learns respect for the MC. Getting Tara involved, and even our growing relationship with Ashley, is very very nice to have start. Opens the gates for our eventual involvement with the girls (should that come around). Loved being able to tease her but at the same time be her confidant since she obviously feels like she's not part of the group anymore. Lastly, the cabin story is great way to end the chapter on and have Laura realize she has an extra kink to dive into. As always - great update, King!

Also kinda weird that Ash caught her so quickly, not sure how she heard her take a selfie while she was actively engaged already. Oliver was kinda meh, kinda preferred Nathan's temperament, but a different Bull was neat. I would like to see the Laura letting the MC sleep with other girls, She was uncomfortable before, but after enough time new experiences she might change. Having the MC text her the details and pics or have a group chat where the other girl is the one doing the texting could make it work in the format.

That being said, as someone who enjoys playing the more Dom and mixed routes, Oliver.....yikes. Would it be possible to have interactions with him be optional or to have Laura not be with him at all in future routes? His arrogance is unbearable, and the fact that Laura likes it makes it even worse. i haven't played the final two chapters yet so maybe there's more to it, but it would definitely be my preference. I was kind of on the fence about Nathan before with some of the content , but after having Oliver, its crazy how much more i appreciate him. Otherwise solid update.

It's in chapter 17 and you get to choose if you want to see Tara or Ashley topless and if you choose Tara she doesn't want to and you get the kiss scene. I just feel like if I want to play completely loyal and do things like actively telling Ashely I don't want to see teasing pictures, it feels weird to be forced in this scene to want to see one of her friends topless, if you know what I mean. It's just a minor thing but I thought I'd mention it.

I found the same bugs the others did (game getting stuck at end and missing very submissive messages). One small oversight I found that didn't get mentioned so far: Right at the start of the update ashley sends me a pic of her topless to rate her haircut. But I told her earlier that she shouldn't send me teasing pictures. It also says so in the notes thingy and the game recognizes it later, when in the group convo with Tara. On that note, I think it would be nice that when we get the choice in an earlier chapter to either see Tara or Ashley topless we could either choose neither or get a Laura centric option like the kiss between Ashley and Laura (without having to choose Tara first).

Or are you just winging it until you feel like you've accomplished everything you want to? Also, is development going to be completely linear until it stops? If there's any divergence, will it be included with everything else, or will you go back and add alternate choices and paths after the first one is complete? Sorry if it's a lot of questions, I think the little glimpses of divergence in 22 just got me kinda excited for potential futures. I can see the game going in lots of different directions at this point, and I feel like a large number of them could be very interesting. I'm just wondering if you plan to explore just the one, or more than one.

2024-09-11 00:09:39 +0000 UTCAs some have already mentioned, game stops at the end of 23 without triggering softlock protection. Saving and loading restarts chapter 23. There was also one message in dominant that was sent automatically. Some logical errors in chapter 22, the one that stands out in my mind is Ashley talking about hearing pictures being taken and MC being lucky regardless of whether Tara took pictures of Ashley or not (My specific scenario was Tara's selfie, I never even mentioned taking a picture of Ashley to Tara). I guess she could be talking about Tara's selfie, but that feels like a massive stretch with how she worded it, I don't know. Part of me wants to go back through and check to see how much divergence is in 22 cause it seems like there may be a lot, but the skip function seems to have gotten significantly slower. It was a little bit with 0.9 but now it cuts the time by maybe half, which isn't much when we're talking timeframes of 1+ hours for normal speed. If skipping is to be a feature it may be worth investigating if jumping straight to choices would be practical or not. Update itself was pretty nice content-wise. I do find it a little ironic the player seems to have more control over what Tara does than what Laura does, what with how heavily 'mutual consent' is the theme of the game, but you clearly have a vision in mind for Laura. Although the new guy can be a bit of a cunt if you're not nice to him, so it could be interesting if there's any payoff for that. That would mean more divergence, but the game seems to be heading in that direction anyway so food for thought.

At some point in Laura's convo there seems to be gaps in the convo. For example she says she has two options but the next message skips straight to "Option 2:"

Like, just when I feel like the MC is being left out a bit, there's a chapter all about him and Laura. Just when I feel like Nathan's becoming too much of a second boyfriend, Laura says EXACTLY THAT and finds a new bull. Love this game. I may even try the dom and sub routes even though they wouldn't normally be my thing, just to see how you've written them. Top, top stuff.

I love the new content (especially the very submissive route, Laura making MC ask a guy to fuck her was hot AF). If I could request anything, it would be a 'hints' option for not yet unlocked photos, "chapter 4 sub route" or "chapter 7 balanced route", something like that. I'm currently stuck at 173/228 photos unlocked. Maybe have the locked photos in the gallery but blacked out, and you can click a button for a hint.
