Wait the Jarl just came as is? He doesn't have a party like Ronja did?

Kisa

I don't like his look in the fith panel...🤔

He's probably thinking about how, if he agrees to an alliance with them, it would mean he's taking on a burden right now. They are healing, yes, but that makes them weak. If someone were to see their current state and decide to make a move, Ronja would undoubtedly send a request for aid, and he would be expected to respond - can his tribe handle that sort of situation right now? Considering they're low on cattle, would his tribe be able to spare if anything went wrong? Considering the basis of his tribe is the natural law of things, he may consider waiting it out until he sees if they survive the healing process and grow strong again before deciding to ally, instead of risking the safety of his own tribe to protect this weaker, vulnerable one.

I think hes going to speak about it at his tribe and Kierr will vouched for Ronja. Regardless if that's how it happens or not, I think he will at least give them the chance to show it's worth aligning with them.

I think Fraujar’s just thinking/reflecting on the last few panels... he has a very stoic face but I don’t think he’s being ominous in any way. Plus taking advantage of other tribes doesn’t seem to be in his nature

Fraujar looks stunning in the last panel 😍

Hmm, I don't get a bad vibe from this page. Fraujar just is not an outwardly expressive character. But! The expressions on his face in this page are on the edge of sadness. He's been a Jarl for a very long time and that makes him wise through experience. Now that he's seen for himself what the Meteors have been through, he understands the weight of these changes in regards to what he knows of the old Meteor Tribe. It's possible he feels pity for them, because as Ronja said, they've lost a lot in order to get to this point, and they're still healing. But it's good change! And the theme of these pages tells me that Fraujar recognizes that. He'll reflect on it on his way home, possibly talk to Kierr again, and ask his Baron what they think, and when he makes a decision, one way or the other, it will come after much careful thought. I'm optimistic that this Tinget will lead to a positive future for both tribes. Hopefully, we'll see them working together soon. Gods know the Meteors need outside support after everything they've suffered through.

May I just say, the landscape in the last panel is stunning! It's just forests and meadows but it gives us such a good idea of the territory.

This is... kind of what I expected from Fraujar. He's very reserved when it comes to his thoughts and emotions, and is certainly the kind of character who "keeps his cards close to his chest" so to speak. I don't exactly get an ominous feel from this page, more like... a very ambiguous one. Fraujar's clearly had a chance to see things have changed in the Meteor Tribe, yet it makes perfect sense for him to want more time to think about forming an alliance with them. Though a warm, enthusiastic response to Ronja's offer of alliance wouldn't have made sense given Fraujar's character, his response was NOT cold or hostile. He was cool and reserved when speaking to Ronja at tinget, yet was very diplomatic about things. Likewise, Fraujar was very diplomatic here, and I think it speaks well of him that he came to see for himself if the Meteor Tribe has truly changed. Also... in the last panel, Fraujar stops, and looks BACK at the Meteor Tribe's territory. His expression still looks cool and reserved, but... I think it speaks volumes that he DID look back. I think Ronja's offer is turning over in his mind there, and perhaps he's considering what Ferah said about how both Ronja and Roamer have done good. I can't say for certain if Fraujar's made up his mind yet, but... One way or another, I'm sure this won't be the last interaction we have between the Meteor Tribe and the Whispervale Tribe.

Icecat45

I think it's possible Fraujar is hiding sadness and hurt. if Fuss truly came from WV, Fraujar may have known him, or perhaps knew his parents, and the news of his death saddens him. He's smart enough to put the pieces together about Akleja with her coat pattern, and that Fuss was nowhere to be found on the territory.

I zoomed in on the last panel and tried to see what Fraujar's facial expression is... I could very well be reading into this, but it looks (to me) that he is...smiling? It reminds me of when Keirr and Aira first came to Whispervale. Aira had failed to impress Fraujar and he didn't have high hopes for Keirr. When Keirr did indeed prove him wrong, he smiled. Granted, we were able to see his face 100 percent and could tell he was smiling. Here... It's definitely more subliminal. Fraujar comes across harsh, but I know he cares deeply for those under his rule. He is definitely a more "Show-me-so-I-can-see-for-myself" kind of character. When the letter was given about Tinget, he spoke out harshly against Keirr and company for what they did, but then stated that if it hadn't been for them, news on how to put their loved ones' souls to rest wouldn't have been found. Fraujar is growing on me and I hope to see more interactions between these two tribes.

Kinder

I hope he won't do something bad :(((
