He hasn't been in a position to where he could do anything that let him feel helpful. While Rogio might still not be comfortable with accepting help (that kind of trauma/conditioning takes a while to undo, spirit magic or not) Kargo looks like he's more than happy to let Roamer look out for him. Which let's be real, Kargo deserves that. His whole life was about him struggling to be a shield for others. Maybe Rogio and Roamer can baby him while he's recovering so he can baby Diarko in turn, lol
